You treat it as dessert?
augmum, I know about this. But I still try it out in case got miracleAugmum:
Err....U ladies really find the effectiveness of oral collagen ??
I am very sceptical abt taking oral collagen which can be intergrated into our skin framework when digested.....
Till now, this lacks of scientific proof....
As long known .....Collagen is a big, complex molecule....too large to penerate
the epidermis and get into the dermis of the skin when applied on the skin.
When taken orally, it will just be digested like normal protein into amino acids....
Yes, it will be absorbed into the body but not to intergrate to the skin to form the collagen matrix...
Unlike collagen fillers where it can be directly injected to the skin of affected areas....
Some yrs ago, i ever asked a renowned dermatologist in SG abt the doubts on oral collagen.
Her reply was it is useless to take oral collagen to replenish loss of collagen fr the skin.
Nevertheless, collagen will do good to joints and tendons, etc....
Her reply was in line with medical journals fr molecular biologist /scientists where one can easily google to read the facts on collagen....
PS the above is merely for sharing what i heard and read, have no interest in debating. I also wish that we can simply replenish the loss of collagen fr our skin by simply taking it orally, that'll be easy peasy.... :rahrah:
on hot days, they are really nice to eat - cold and sweet. Yum! -

So Collagen is a fun- drink.......
Anyway, I take collagen for fun. I use moisturizer for skin...eye gel for eyes, toner and sun block.
Dont stress too much lah......stress hormone will cause one to age faster.....

Imami:
Oh yeah....let's wait for some molecular biologists n scientists to have some breakthrough.....

that'll be awesome.....
Meantime, might as well take foods which can induce our bodies to produce own collagen.....

agree wf Augmum that there is no scientific proof in taking or applying collagen help to improve skin.I read that many times from internets or news.
exercise, healthy diet (lots of fruits & vege) helpβ¦
exercise=detoxify through sweating, improve metabolism thus improve qi & blood circulation. When ur blood circulates well, improve functionality of all ur organ(liver, kidney, etc)
Diet=super antioxidant fruits & vege such as brocolli, oranges, contain high vit C & E,beta carotene, boost skin renewal & texture.Collagen is one thing, having good water content in ur skin is impt too. Skin which is dry,age faster.
try more green tea,eat more fish.U see most Japanese women hv great skin.No harm follow their diet. -

8 cups of water a day does wonders. bright colour fruits and veg as well.
actually everything should be taken in moderation. -
Aiyoh, I just finished my 5th & last box of brands collagen β¦ after reading the above, Iβm not sure whether to continue buying β¦ I enjoy the treat β¦ still canβt see any effect though. I exercise 3 times a week. Maybe I should search for something that can boost collagen production instead.
