not sure why some schools offer HCL only at P5.

think too late - should offer HCL at either P3 or P4.

both SNGS and Ai Tong in red boxes.
both face equally intense balloting, in both Phases 2B & 2C.

My impression is most schools already offer HCL at lower primary. At P5/6, the schools will recommend who should drop HCL.

My friend’s case, this year her son P5, from neighbourhood sch transferred at P4 for GEP programme in Rosyth.

He has a sister who was in K2 when the brother was in P3. Ever since then, the sister still in waiting list 100 something queue. This year P2.

Since the bro is in GEP, why don't arrange dd for IQ test? If she has IQ genes too, can use the result to improve her position on the list or even get an offer immediately :siam:

This is bad timing lah… my friend’s case is also like that. They only released the elder boy’s GEP results after the younger sis’ P1 registration. So the youngest son will benefit from the gor-gor’s GEP school.

So can say for transfer to Rosyth (non GEP), chances are pretty slim since e wait list is long?

Ya. Because p1 registration yearly start in July term 3, end by August. But Gep last round of p3 tests only start in August, & results released late, only in p3 term 4. So wont know if elder sibling can get into Gep or not.

If younger sibling can't get into Rosyth in time at p1 registry time, will join the rest of others in the long waiting list transfer queue. Rosyth Transfer Application form is here (scroll to bottom web page) :-

Correction - GEP's first round of test takes place in August while the second round takes place in October.
