      :?: need some advice please....

anyone knows if appeal to RVHS is still on waiting list from now to 2nd week of January, does it mean that the chance is probably very slim and not much hope ?
πŸ™ understand some students already received
the transfer letters....seems like hope is fading....
😞 anyone can share some info on last year appeal cases whether anyone successful on the waiting list ?
Hello, Nice to Meet you. I was actually posted to RV but my appeal for NYGH was successful so i transferred, and the moment i transferred out of the school, the first pupil from the waiting list was accepted, so it depends where your child is on the waiting list~ Good Luck though! oh and what school was your child originally posted to? πŸ™‚

Keep calling the Principal of RVHS.

Thanks for sharing. Tried calling the principal but apparently
didn't want to entertain parents' calls and visits.....

                My suggestion:
                1. Write an email to the principal, mention you'll like to meet
                2. Call x times, and say you'll like to speak or meet
                3. Appear in the school. Say you'll like to meet

You'll definitely get to meet the principal. Done that a few times to many schools. Always work. πŸ˜„

really? but don't you think the principal will feel irritated or harrassed?

btw my gal was posted to Crescent Girls....not sure what is my gal position in the waiting list.....still hoping for the chance......school cop is 251 and she scored aggregate of 249 (inclu HMT), difference of -2 pt which I think the chance is rather slim. By the way thank you very much for your sharing.....
What's the worse that can happen? Get a no for an answer. But at least you gave it a good shot. Besides, 2 points difference is really very little. There are successful cases where it is more than 10 points' difference. Shows your sincerity as well! :rahrah: Go for it!

Heard alot of good things about SJII as well. I'll monitor for the next few months. I'm also thinking about homeschooling. Basically, he will become my research assistant. I'll put him in my office and check his work once in a while. He'll probably end up doing my research to some extent! My psychologist friend told me that's probably his best path. His mother is his best teacher. I have done that during the school hols before. Put him in my office while I teach (I have no maid), and I provided him lots of robots to work with. He became really good with those robots. I'm still thinking. :?

Hi Schweppes and 2ppaamm, Just wanted to tell you that the reviews about SJI International are mixed at best. 2 friends pulled their kids out. Each time, the parents pointed the principal as \"impossible to work with\". One case was for bullying; the other was for a 2E situation.

Don't want to bad mouth the school (no personal or vested experience either) - but the reviews are not uniformly good. Hope this is helpful.
