Raffles Girls' Primary

Dear all,
May I find out more about the schools learning environment and teachers? Heard it is highly competitive. Sometimes, teachers may focus more on top students and even neglect mainstreamers. Is it true? Thanks much in advance. -

on the contrary, the teachers focus on those who are weak, mine was frm mainstream and not frm the 2 top mainstream classes... she completed her PSLE last year and the teachers did a good job helping out those who are weak in certain subjects with extra classes and special attention givn to those that needed more drilling so that they can come up Tops... some did produce remarkable results even tho they did not come frm the GEP or the 2 best class. Those that are top are already top so I guess they dnt need too much attention.Dear all,

Do the school disclose how many of its graduates entered Raffles girls secondary through DSA and Sec1 posting?

starting this SA1, the sch will not state level/class highest/avg on exam paper… the P told every student - u only compete with yourself not anyone else…

Does this means no class position/level ranking in report cards? Interesting, very commendable move by the school's steering comm. -
I don’t like this move. I am fine with no highest or lowest but at least let us know the average. Knowing averages is not about competing but knowing if our kids are among the average. Without this info, I might jump if DD comes back with a test result of 15/30 when in reality, almost all scored about that as it might be a tough paper. And vice versa, should I rejoice if she comes back with 29/30 if the rest of the cohort is getting mainly 30/30.

Yes, agree.
No highest, no lowest fine.
But average parents should know - So that we know whether our kid is within Average or below average. -

Don't think there are such detailed rankings in the report books.KSP:
