My family doesn't like cooked oats - too soft and mushy. I bake granola (crunchy oat cereal with sugar, oil, nuts and raisins) and will usually have a container of it in the kitchen. We sometimes eat it for breakfast, and my kids eat it as a snack as well.

Actually, that's the same reason why I never took oats....was hoping someone could recommend me something in the dried form...like cereal or cereal bar kinda oats! 😉

Any other ways to have oats without it in the gluey form?

Besides granola, I put oats in muffins and pancakes. It makes them a bit denser but you can get used to it. I also cut down the sugar and replace butter with veg oil, so it's a reasonably nutritious breakfast. A friend gave me a recipe for using oats as a crunchy topping for baked fruit, rather like a crumble, but it had a lot of sugar and butter in it, so I'm not sure it's a good breakfast food!
