Why would SCGS be worse than MGS? Strange...

      I am wondering too :?

Elsewhere in thread, it is mentioned by someone that at MGS it takes one year for non-affliation student to gel well with ones coming from affliation. SCGS takes affliated students with low COP of 200 while MGS COP for affliated student is 220. Rationale is that quality of afflitation cohert will make process even slower.

No matter how classes are allocated, there will group activites like CCA/HMT and group dynemics will come in play.

Hate to be pointed at, hence this is last reply on the subject
Ok lah, your contribution gives us a different view of things. I was just wondering where you got that view from. We all see things from a different angle. And, I think that's ok.

I'd like to believe that lower T-score just means less tuition, perhaps less informed/kiasu parents and probably less study. Hard to believe that lower T-score means meaner, harder to get along kids. If my first hypothesis is true, these girls are probably less uptight about results, more giving and more generous. - Just my humble opinion.

Both MGS and SCGS are good schools. I have experience with teachers and leaders from both sides.

My daughter going to SCGS next year. Her personality is not much of a crowd pleaser. Although she is a pleasant person, she is a reserved sort. I am rather worried she may not be able to find any friends in the new school. Would the affiliated primary girls be nice to her? Will she feel culture shock? Her current primary school is a normal neighbourhood school.

I went to SCGS open day. I must say that their students there are polite & warm.

SCGS is a very good school.

My daughter has some problems about the attire in SCGS.

The pe attire is the pe-shirt and pe-shorts, right?
Then what are the skorts for?
          Can anyone tell me?
My daughter need to wear the pe-attire to SCGS on the first day and she is wondering whether she needs to wear either the skorts or the shorts for the first day. Please help, thanks.

Those are prefects. I'll ask my daughter about the reporting uniform later when she wakes up.

Ok, my daughter says that you wear the half skirts on days you have PE lessons. Always tuck out, and the green shorts inside. When you have PE, take off the skirts and do the PE, then put the half skirts back.

So as long as they say you need PE attire, go to school in the skirt and shorts inside. Hope this helps! By the way, the white cloths are baleros for the prefects. šŸ˜‰

SCGS is a very good school.
I went to open houses for three girls' school and liked SCGS best. I went to their campfire as a student's parent by invitation of the school. I can tell the teaching environment is very nuturing and positive. Hope that my girl will like it there.

Meantime, my girl says she can only wear blue sweater/jacket on top of her school uniform. Anyone knows what tye of sweater/jacket is allowed? Since her uniform is sleeveless, the air-con bus she takes to school can be a bit chilly.
