Forget to inform you, to join PAACT must pay $60
I think I most will pay the $60. But the question is, how many will become volunteer ? -
Oh yes, Just Mama,
Forget to inform you. On 11-Jan, you have to bring $30 to pay for the matriculation pack. -

Actually I thought I put the link to #156 up there in my post, but I guess the link did not come out. haha. oops.
I did not realise that #156 is just outside NJC :oops:phankao:
Why not just take Bus 156 directly outside NJC (along dunearn rd) to bishan rd and walk in towards the stadium/swimming pool direction which is next to the MOELC?

You can go to http://www.transitlink.com.sg to get the full bus route. -

Just Mama:
Just to clear your doubt. PAACT is a registered entity. The $60 is something like membership fee. The $60 is not be a volunteer but rather to be a member of PAACT.
Sounds kind of strange - got to pay to be a volunteer ...? Will find out tomorrow
Of cos then, within PAACT, there will be some willing to be a volunteer. That is, at least, how I understand it
 -

You know, I was looking through the form, and it has all those questions about what your area of speciality is, how you can contribute, whether you have experience as PSG EXCO member, etc, etc. Hai.... that's why I hesitate to put in the form for myself. I don't mind being an ad-hoc volunteer, but not committee member, and I don't think I want to be class rep either.
I've all along been quite an active volunteer when my kids are in primary school, but mostly on ad-hoc basis, and in their CCAs as well. And I think i was one of the class reps in sec 1. But really, other than that, I've found that when the kids go to secondary school, they don't really need parents around for class outings or CCAs. So that's why I really hesitate to fill in that form, since I think the opportunities for ad-hoc volunteering services are rare in sec school.
