How's the butter cake?

I saw the recipe, seems to have little flour compared to the butter qty. Is it very dense?

The butter cake so so nia, very buttery ๐Ÿ˜‰ My hb said she kept the good one from us ๐Ÿ˜‚ . The recipe is very easy, so I wanted to test out how good can it be. My kids pack food for recess, so just nice. It took me less than half an hr to whip up the batter, 45 mins to bake. I halved the recipe.

Sorry, wish i could show you the pics, I took pics on my old Nokia, but got difficulties uploading into comp. The cake is exactly like the one featured in the papers, just that mine is rectangular tray.

I suspect by now no one in KSP is interested to know my breakfast menu since it's always so bland and boring. :rotflmao:

๐Ÿ˜‚ I had kopi kosong and 2 hard boiled eggs and a banana.

They are reminders to me to eat healthier ๐Ÿ˜„

Seriously, when I visit this thread like now, everyone's breakfast looked so yummy to me, but in the early morning I just don't have the appetite, my house has buns, breads and sometime kueh-kueh too, but I just not in the mood to eat.... But I \"attack\" these kueh-kueh if I come home early and dinner is not served. Like binging :rotflmao:
Good morning.

                4leaves mini items - 2 pcs
                1 cup MILO+nescafe coffee powder+milk powder

You like bread from 4 leaves? I find them too buttery. I like their scones, cake and sandwiches though.

Yum ... I like 4 leaves bread and their cakes, never tried their sandwiches though. Probably will drop by the bakery after lunch with DS to pick up some mini items as well (for teabreak and tomorrow's breakfast).
We like their sandwiches. I buy them when I'm feeling lazy or rather busy. But one tray is not enough for my family  Need to buy some scones most of the time.

I don't have much appetite in the morning, and I don't like sweet, oily, cheesy stuff, only plain or lightly salted food for breakfast..... only after 11am then my appetite gets better and start to feel like eating.

Actually should eat biggest meal for breakfast and eat least at dinner, but it's very hard to keep to that leh :slapshead:
I think each of us has a different system. I can eat all I want in the morning but I can't do the same for dinner. I will get tummy ache or feel bloated for days if I binge at dinner.

For breakfast, I must have a hearty one so that I can va va vroom for the day.

I baked a lemon cake this afternoon using pre-mix that requires 2 eggs, 150ml milk and 60g butter. Topped with icing that requires 20 ml milk and 30g butter.

Cut into 2 portions - one kept in freezer compartment.

Part of the other portion will be my breakfast tmr.
