I want to enrol my first child in Wellington Primary School this year. But could the primary 1 parents please share with me the enrolment status last year?

I belong to Phase 2C and we are staying within 1km from the school. So i want to know if there was any bidding last year in the Phase 2C? How many seats are available to the number of applications in Phase 2C last year? Or where can i find out about these information?

I wish to know my girl is born in year nov 2008, i think my girl need to register for primary 1 by 2014 is it one year earlier before my girl reach seven year old ? and how do we know when we need to register ?

problem is we are moving to sembawang in year 2014 first quarter now we are still living at amk and we are not alumni of wellington primary school . the pri school me and my hubby studied when we are small are not in this area. and we only have this child only. so is it now we must go to apply for grassroot leader position then my girl will have a higher chance of getting into this school ? but we are not living at sembawang yet so how do we apply just go to the rc to apply ? the only advantage we have is we are living at montreal villie which is less than 1 km from wellington primary school only…

so is it i can only apply for my girl at the last pharse 2c or can it be earlier ? i am confused about the actual procedure… so hope someone can advise me

Balloting is not even required to get into Wellington. It’s a breeze to get in. The most sought after schools in Sembawang are Canberra Primary and Endeavour Primary. Balloting is required for SC residing within 1 km!

Hi all,

Newbie here. I am ready to enrol my son in the coming registration in June 13. After going thru' the threads of other PS, Wellington PS seems best suited for us. No need to ballot and they have a student care there as well.

Pass thru' the school some mornings for work and saw many students having PE in the open field. Looks great!

Regards to the student care, any idea if the service is provided from P1 to P6? or its only for P1 to P2 ? Loves to hear some feedback on the activities provided too.

Hope the food is nice from canteen...anyway my kid is not interested.

The Principal, Mr Gary Tsu just came over to Wellington in 2011.
He was previously from Shuqun Primary.
Heard good reviews about him.

They say registration has to be done in School. How about announcement of results? Do we have to go to the school to check the results?

Result out on 6th-Aug, not sure if result is posted or check from school.

Wellington has students who stayed Woodlands go there study ok. It's a school that has niche area in dance. Visit their website. The school is reasonably ok to me and got a few awards. I always said this, if the child is clever, where the child study, the child still clever. If the child cannot make it type, put in good school to study also cannot make it. You have to see how much the teachers can teach a class of 30 to 40 students. Not easy. So expectation should be adjusted towards the school teachers.
