Punggol Waterway Park

My family and I went for a bicycle ride in Punggol Waterway Park last saturday. Luckily we bought our own bikes, a few observations :

1) No bicycle kiosk
2) Yes, you have to park illegally by the road if you are driving
3) There are toilet kiosks along the way but there is no water supply.
4) Its a long ride/walk to the Punggol jetty from the roadside.
If you are cycling, you have to cross 1 junction with no traffic lights and you have to carry your bicycle across. Not suitable for young children.
5) I didn’t see the water play in the above pix. we are kind of disappointed.
6) there is a mini-sand playground near the jetty.
7) There is a food outlet, Punggol seafood along the way.

My family visited the park yesterday. We saw the water play area, the exercise area for senior citizens and the sand pit. The exercise area is next to the water play area. There are toilet facilities near these areas.


There are 2 car parks. The smaller one is opposite Watertown show flat. The larger one is further down and that’s where we parked. Walking distance to the 3 play areas mentioned above.

It’s a good pace to go in Punggol to enjoy some outdoor activity.

We visited Punggol Park this morning.


Parked at Tebing Lane (nearest LRT is PE4 Riviera) off Punggol East Road.

Hubby and elder boy went inline skating (with own skates) towards Punggol Promenade direction.

There are toilet facilities behind the restaurants @ Tebing Lane and another toilet along Punggol Promenade. There is a water cooler at this toilet as well as a drink vending machine.

The place is quiet this cloudy morning. No tall trees to provide shelter on hot days.

We came to Sunrise bridge. Two options - go down towards the HDB flats along the 1st stretch of My Waterway@Punggol or cross the Sunrise bridge and continue on Punggol Promenade.

Hubby and elder boy took on the 1st stretch of My Waterway@Punggol while I and younger boy went on Punggol Promenade.

The rest of the Punggol Promenade is dirt track path, not conducive for inlate skating. There are rest stops along the way, but no toilet facility/water cooler. It was a very long walk to reach Punggol Point Park - slightly more than 4km.

Somewhere in the middle of Punggol Promenade, there is a fishing point. We did not see anyone fishing.

There is a stall near Punggol Point Park for bicycle rental. It does not look like a permanment stall. This is the only bicycle rental stall we encountered. The bicycles look decent.

There are two carparks at Punggol Point Park, one on the same side as Outwards Bound, the other one on the same side as the Horse Riding Centre.

There is a playground and toilet facility with water cooler.

SBSTransit #84 comes to Punggol Point Park.

There is a B&B (Bacon and Booze) selling western food. We ordered a B&B Delight - scrambled egg/bacon/sausage/mushroom/baked beans/fries), 2 Fish & Chips and a Jap Seaweed Chicken. Bill came up to $60++ with a peppermint tea.

There seems to be another eatery opposite the playground further in. We did not confirm as we were in a hurry to go home.

There is a flight of staircase at the end of a Chinese restaurant next to Popeyes and also a gentle slop going to the park.
