Road safety and correct driver behavior
-
One of the things I hate most about what drivers do is cutting corners - especially when the road is so narrow they βeatβ into your path and donβt even put up their hand to apologize.
I think DH dislike tailgaters most. -
concern2:
My Dad did that when I 1st got my license and drove his car. Sometimes I even see his hand hovering above the handbrake. And the other hand, will be clinging on to the handle above the door. After sometime, I noticed that his knuckles had turned white. :rotflmao:
Share with you one funny thing my FIL does when he sits at the passenger seat next to DH - he will step on his invisible brakes when the car in front suddenly stops
:rotflmao: -
Jennifer:
1) It is his car (his baby)When I first got my driving licence and drove to Rail Mall, the front seat passenger could not stop nagging :gloomy: I parked the car head in into the parking lot. Since then I did not drive again.
Hubby could not trust anyone.
I also enjoy being chauffeured around, whether it is hubby or the public transport.
2) He is sitting on the front passenger seat.
Trust me, change either of these 2 parameters and you will have a much nicer experience driving in peace. -

:rotflmao: :rotflmao: How about his face?

My dad used to be the intimidating one for me - but I guess that's cos he was the one who sat with me when I first knew how to drive. If DH had been the one, maybe I'll also self-terminate my licence

I recalled a nice theory on reading this......

If you see a man opening the door for the woman..

I like you being like this - humorous, not too serious

some days ago, hubby brou up the issue of I go re-learn driving an auto car. I say no way man. Somemore now old liao, eyesight at night not so good too. Drivers these days also very scary. -
When in my 20s, yes I drove fast. Especially on highways. 120-130km/hr at that time was possible, during off peak hours. And yes, I was driving a rather powerful car. Not a sports car but still one that had a pretty fast pick-up at a tap of the accelerator. I have used the horn and flashed the headlights at fellow road users in my impatience then.
In my 30s, I slowed down but still going at about 100km/hr on highways whenever possible. Yes still driving a car with fast pick-up. Hardly honked at anyone though did flash the headlights some.
Now in my 40s, I hardly go beyond 100km/hr. I am happy to plod along behind whatever car in front following whatever speed they are going at. Been driving my current car for coming 4yrs. I have never flashed the headlights at anyone and cannot remember when I last honked at anyone. Wonder if they still work.
