Road safety and correct driver behavior

When in my 20s, yes I drove fast. Especially on highways. 120-130km/hr at that time was possible, during off peak hours. And yes, I was driving a rather powerful car. Not a sports car but still one that had a pretty fast pick-up at a tap of the accelerator. I have used the horn and flashed the headlights at fellow road users in my impatience then.
In my 30s, I slowed down but still going at about 100km/hr on highways whenever possible. Yes still driving a car with fast pick-up. Hardly honked at anyone though did flash the headlights some.
Now in my 40s, I hardly go beyond 100km/hr. I am happy to plod along behind whatever car in front following whatever speed they are going at. Been driving my current car for coming 4yrs. I have never flashed the headlights at anyone and cannot remember when I last honked at anyone. Wonder if they still work.
Hubby said he wants to buy a sports car, lamxxxxx (sp?) when he retires. I laughed at him n said \"dun want lah, later other drivers laugh at you : see that old man? still drive a sports car? can chiong or not?\" :rotflmao: -

Once I opened the car door too aggressively, the door hit the pole. It was a new car.

Luckily, my friend was a gentleman. He didn’t scold me. But there was silence for 5mins. I was still single back then.

:rotflmao: :rotflmao: How about his face?
My Dad did that when I 1st got my license and drove his car. Sometimes I even see his hand hovering above the handbrake. And the other hand, will be clinging on to the handle above the door. After sometime, I noticed that his knuckles had turned white. :rotflmao:Funz:

Share with you one funny thing my FIL does when he sits at the passenger seat next to DH - he will step on his invisible brakes when the car in front suddenly stops
:rotflmao:
 ?[/quote]Stoic.
Well one thing I will say for my Dad, he will not comment when I was driving. hmmm.... maybe he had to keep his mouth closed real tight as his heart was ready to jump out.
Actually no lah. He will not criticise while I am driving but when we reach our destination and out of the car, he will give me reminders or pointers. -

There was a minor scratch  I felt so guilty because I scratched his 3 day old baby.TheAnswer:

He must have been trying to get you to be his new woman. -

You must have missed the sound of his heart breaking.

That very pregnant silence is quite telling, isn't it?
He's probably going through an intense grieving period during that time.
