It's for the teachers to collect workbooks from the students so that the students need not carry them to school in future. Your child doesn't have to bring anything if you think it is unnecessary. -

Ohh!! If this is the case, better let them keep rather than let my poor darling bring them in future. Can I bring for all subjects at one go or one subject at a time? Stella Handwriting, Maths, Chinese including Drama Toolkit? Really appreciate your response...thanks...I m so lostfamangelina31:

You have to check with teacher/school what books they want to collect for the class.

It may be too overwhelming for your child to carry everything to school in one day. If the teacher asks for English books on Wednesday, just bring the English WORKBOOKS on that day.
Which class is your child in? Were you at the orientation yesterday? -
Hi All,
As spoken with the Form Teacher yesterday, she said we can bring just the workbooks today. I also had read the timetable which collection mean the teacher would collect the workbook. Earlier I thought the student have to collect the school reading materials.
BTW, did anyone understand the exam structure? Seem like the school said there won’t be any CA1, SA1 & CA2. There would be test in this period which would take up 30%. At the SA2 the score would be 70%. -

You are right, titank! Depending on the subjects, the assessment will be different.
E.g. for Chinese, the HOD hasn't finalised how the 30% will be computed, but she mentioned she might give six mini-assessments, each assessment taking up 5%. -

I guessed RMPS would have some kind of effective monitoring scheme.
Perhaps I should contact the HOD for more clarifications. -

During the orientation last year, some parents requested for no exam at all. However, the principal managed to convince these parents that one exam was necessary. This could be the reason why they decided to place so much weightage on SA2.
