          hi mummies,

my girl currently in nursery 2 is in childfirst @ mountbatten since 18 months. really glad to have send her there. from a toddler who refuse to talk to now at 41 months she talks and sing non stop in both english and mandarin. very amazing that my girl can even recognize some simple chinese character while watching the chinese nursery song dvd. so far the teachers that i know are all very caring towards my girl.

my 16mths son gonna be starting the pre-nursery in a few months time at childfirst @ mountbatten as well.

just to share, there is currently a referal programme for mummies interested in childfirst @ dunearn. for example if you enrolled your child in childfirst @ dunearn for at least one month under the referral of an existing childfirst student, both mummies get to choose a gift (just to name a few gifts… ipad mini, galaxy note, air purifier…) any mummies interested can pm me… i can send you more regarding the referral programme

              Hi,

Mummies who put their kids in child first at Mountbatten, can u share more abt ur kids experiences in the school? I went for a visit 2 weeks back, really love their half day English n half day Chinese program, but somehow I feel that something is lacking, which im not able to tell what is that… Hope to get more insights from parents who have kids here. Many thanks!

hi, my girl(42 months) is in childfirst mountbatten since she was 18mths… from pre-nursery to N2. i would say she is happy over there. maybe you would like to bring your kid to a visit to the centre as well. is it very important that your children feels comfortable over there.

                  Hi,

my daughter is also in Childfirst @ mountbatten, I rem. the referral programme is applicable for mountbatten too, am I right sweetberrie? Really do hope they can give us and I’m happy to refer! Understand they are expanding and taking over the 2nd floor unit, so if only the add’l monthly school fee discount is applicable for both parties and not just new sign up!

My daughter simply love going to this school, every morning was a breeze to bring her there as their class activities are all pack up and she’s able to enjoy her time there. Also she does not fall sick at all, unlike during her time in previous preschool (every month she is down with influenza, fever etc) Perhaps the tea tree oil products they use really work wonders. Also the principal is one of the best I’ve seen after visiting so many pre-schools, as she handles parent query and concern very professionally, and the most important part is she listens and rectify the issues we feedback.

They do have a very comprehensive curriculum - she learn new songs every week, pick up new stories, new art & crafts work, learn new chinese word every week. So their programme do keep our energetic ones fully occupied whole day, especially at this age, they absorb the best. It’s a good programme, so I need not bring her out for any extra-curriculum lesson.

Only setback is, teachers are all robotics like, don’t expect them to any personal attention to your little ones, nor do they have time for loving moments and warmth gesture. Bathing is also an issue, as they have no time to dry up your kids’ hair especially, so they simply do a semi-quick blow and go, and your toddler may still have damp hair after lunch and go straight to sleep. So I can see majority parents here choose not to bath like myself as I worried she’ll catch a cold. Also one issue is very week she comes home with new bruises on her arm, legs & knees but non of the teachers ever notice, and have no idea where they get it from.

Hi, I have visited ChildFirst at Dunearn, This is my 2nd time visit the center with my daughter 31 months old (born in 2010, Nov). I like the spacious environment and separate classroom for each class. I have visited the center during morning school hours around 10:30am. But there is something make me feel not right for the atmosphere at Dunearn. The teachers to kids are not really very caring. It seem like very formal reaction to kids, and I cant feel the close relationship between teachers and students. But I am still wanna plan to visit center at Mounbatten. Is there any mummy can share with me whereby their kids at Mounbatten? I am a bit worry teachers are too formal to students like this kind of young ages. It should be very caring and close with students, just make me feel something is missing too. But the spacious area really a plus mark as I cant find other pre school as spacious as this. Thank you.
