I heard that mary mount kinder garten school is going to be relocated to Toa Payoh from existing location (20 Marymount Road S297754).

Any idea if primary school also relocated to toa payoh?

I do not think that the primary school will be relocated to TPY. The blueprint of the new marymount center does not include Marymount Primary.

Took half day to go through the trend and now was really stressed, although I lived the next door of Pei Chun, but it seems absolutely no chance to get in giving the fact that we are PR... then after hit the 2011 registration history, oh, maybe Kheng Cheng will be another choice since still vacancies left after 2C, flame recandled~~~ then jumped to 2012, that's when I realized no more KC for PRs after the new policy conducted...... What's left then, cedar? or just save all the fuss go directly to FTPY?


Will it be true for this year's intake? :?: Any comment is welcome

just going through the forum , my son is registering school for primary 1 next year and i want to know how is maris stella primary standards these days are they in top 20 schools ? i just want an idea compared to schools like catholic high , acs junior m holy innocents

For me, I will register my child at FTPY since it is in toa Payoh .
It will save you a lot of stress n still near to your house.
I will spend the time to prepare my child to be ready for P1 instead of worrying of which school to register . How the child performs in school will depend on the child’s ability n parent can monitor closely .
It doesn’t gurantee a child in Pei Chun will perform better than a child in Kheng CHENG. In fact , I have friend whose son in Kheng CHENG went to catholic high . Another friend 's son from Pei Chun ended up in just a neighbourhood school.

If both of you are pr and Kheng Cheng got vacancies, go Kheng Cheng.

Between cedar and first Toa Payoh -
I will choose cedar primary.
Cedar is a small school, teachers are caring.

Or Can also consider zhong Hua primary in Serangoon, or Townsville in ang mo Kio.

If Kuo Chuan Presbyterian in Bishan got vacancies, then go Kuo Chuan.

Unlikely , Kheng CHENG will have vacancy for PR. SC >2 km will have priority over PR within 1 km. But can still monitor the situation . Register in Kheng CHENG first , if need balloting . Then switch to either first toa Payoh or cedar . I suggest FTP bec Signac stays in toa Payoh whereas cedar is in Aljunied , much further away .Logistically more troublesome.
