Hi, my DS is having English & Maths today. For Maths, does he has to bring the Topical Practice on top of the text & workbook? Also, not sure what to bring for English as he is having 3 English lesson in a row today. :?

Hi my DD is in class 1A. Her form teacher gave her a list of items to bring to school on 5/1/10, which are not those books that is in the tues time table.

So i will follow the list given by the teacher and not the time table.. 🙂

            hi irene
my child is also in 1A. my child told me tat she needs to bring the brown exercise bk(for chinese) 2moro which mean that they are also having chinese lesson 2moro. They also hv CME lesson 2moro too. I am still wondering if she needs to wear PE attire 2moro or not since there is a PE lesson.

Hi, reply from the form teacher as follows:

            Tuesday
You can get your child to wear his/her PE attire on the days stated in the timetable that he/she is having PE lesson. Currently, 1A is going to have PE lessons on Tuesdays (except today as timetable is suspended), Wednesdays and Fridays.

Thank your for packing the required books for collection. For CME, you may get your child to bring the book as according to the timetable.

            Wednesday
MASPEMU is a 2-period (1 hour) session in the hall where pupils will be having either Mass PE or Music lesson. Currently, pupils are not required to bring anything that those sessions. They are just required to wear PE attire on that day i.e. Wednesdays.

              Dear all,

I am new to this forum but as you may have guessed, I too have a kid in P1 this year in NCPS. Added him in the 1D class. hope to share and learn more from this forum.

BTW, I am just curious - how did some of you manage to get replies to your queries from the teachers so quickly? Via emails to them?

Hi, I communicated with my DS form teacher via email. He’s very fast in responding me.

Anyway, he says to bring one exercise book and activity book for his chinese lesson today. For other subjects, he’s not very sure, but he says that he will be the one seeing the class most of the time today, and lessons are actually suspended for these 2 days. Actual lessons will start tomorrow onwards.
As such, I just let my DS bring his text book for maths and art. English lesson - I assume that they will be doing the worksheets which they kept in school. Oh… and also dun forget the pupil’s handbook, my DS say have to bring that everyday.
As per the form teacher who teaches the class chinese, the flashcards have to bring every lesson.

                  Vevey:
Sch starts at 1pm on other days but earlier (by 15min  ) on Wed, but u might 1 2 reach sch earlier on Wed to settle down for reading etc. 🙂

Actually, page 11 of handbook stated as long as b4 12.55pm, it's not considered as late. 😉
                  Thanks Vevey.

But today I called the general office and the staff told me to arrives by 12.30pm everyday. 15 mins slient reading. Accept Wednesday, by 12.15pm.

Anyway, as I have to fetch my son by 12.25pm , I think I have to bring my DD earlier to school.

Actually, to my opinion, I feels that the teachers should let parents know which actual books to bring as example Just written as English, Chinese, Maths as stated in the timetable, too wide range.

English for example have Grammar, comprehension, my journal , stellar. Chinese have the 2 A's books , 2 B's book , chinese classic book. Maths have 2 A's and 2 B's books as well and the topical maths . Aslo, needs to bring any exercise books too? :?

Not including the CME , the Health Ad, Music book, Art book.
How about those files as well. So heavy then.

                    Very confused.

So the actual time for start school and end of class shall based on the booklet "parent support group" in the orange folder, page 34 indicate below? I keep thinking start of class is on 12.30pm…

                      P1 & 2 - mon, tues, thurs & fri (12.45pm-6.25pm)
                      P1 & 2 - Wed (12.30pm-6pm)
