        Kiasimom,

        Don't worry, don't worry ๐Ÿ˜„

I already told DH abt your recommendation. Today, he went to doc so he KPO KPO ask her lah.

So now, I am in the process of researching the above docs and clinics/hospitals.

Then must do eye evaluation, skali not a suitable candidate :faint: ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜„

Btw, I signed up for the free talk conducted by xxx at Paragon to get backgrd info. The talk was at 4pm. I had a missed call at 2pm from them. They wanted to tell me that the talk was at 1.30pm :whut:

When I arrived there at 4pm, the staff was so stuck up. Didn't want to admit their boo boo ๐Ÿ˜› Only aft I showed my displeasure that they put their act together ...

Anyway, wanted to sign up for the free eye evaluation, but changed my mind aft their lack of customer service ๐Ÿ˜›

Haha, so many happy Lasikers :celebrate:

I sponsored my DW Lasik last year as a B-day present, she says it is life changing. No more lens solutions and stuff when travelling, and there is the side benefit of her not having to spend so much time in th bathroom too ๐Ÿ˜‰ .

She had been wearing glasses since age 10, and contacts in adulthood, and is thrilled to bits. The irony? I have had perfect eyesight all these years, and now am beginning to get long-sightedness! So as she has come off glasses, I might have to start getting them for myself!

Had mine done by Dr Jerry Tan several years ago and told dh itโ€™s the best present he gave me:-) v happy with the results and service of dr and staff. What I really like is how thoroughly they prepare you for the procedure by briefing you extremely thoroughly so you know exactly what to expect during the procedure and what you should and should not do. I also like the fact that he does one eye at a time and does the non dominant eye first and observes how you body responds so he can do an even better job on the dominant eye.

                    Hi chirunner,

Yes, that is what DH told me after he called to make some enquires for me (since he's sponsering). Although it was a phone conversation, he was impressed by the fact that the nurses knew exactly what they were talking abt and responded appropriately when he 'cross-examined' them. Also, he does the op only on certain days and sees only a certain no of patients at one time.

Apparently, his good standard of service has been maintained after all the years he's been in the industry. Thats comforting. ๐Ÿ˜„

Yes, they really know what theyโ€™re doing so I definitely felt I was in good hands. Dh said nothing but the best where the eyes are concerned n he was the best at that time although lots of other doctors have acquired lots of experience by now. However, Jerry Tanโ€™s still very careful and still does one eye at a time and I like his conservatism. He could save himself lots of time by doing both at a go but he wonโ€™t. Most of my friends went to him and iโ€™ve not heard a single complaint.

And yes, he only does Lasik on certain days of the week and there was a reason for those days too though I canโ€™t remember now- something to do with the follow up I think- basically it was in the patientโ€™s best interest. I donโ€™t know if theyโ€™re ISO certified, but they are so well organized you get the feeling nothing can go wrong- his wife, a doctor herself, even held my hand during the procedure!! She said even men are scared haha!! Good luck with yours!

They should allow Lasik to be deducted through our Medisave account.

Many kids now also wear glasses/specs.

                        Just my point/view.

                        Regards,
                        Cristl
