That's not opera not a musical either. That is a play. Unless you are into Shakespeare, yup high chance of falling asleep.

Yuh boi. Shakespeare still gives me nightmares with all the memorisation of the verses. The only thing I remember is the beginning of the 3 witches chant in Macbeth \"Bubble bubble toil and trouble\". That's it. And only because it was catchy. Everything else is too painful to recall :razz:

Right now for the musicals available in Singapore, I’d say go for Phantom of the Opera. I’ve watched it several times and have enjoyed every performance. The difference in the leads, the backdrops, the sets, give a different vibe to each.

Musicals, I like. Wish it could be a cheaper affair so I can indulge and bring kiddos along for all of them.

Did anyone watched the movie version of Les Miserables? I thought it was very good! Totally impressed by Anne Hathaway as Fantine. Her \"I dreamed a dream\" was much more tear-jerking and real than Susan Boyle's or Elaine Paige's rendition! :love:

Yes, the quality cannot meet professional broadway standards, but that's because the film practices \"live\" singing where the actors actually sing while they act. I guess I'm more willing to suspend criticism since these are Hollywood actors and actresses, and not singers
