sleepy:
this thread so quiet this week. Everyone busy with exam prep?

Yup, I am more busy than usual. Both DS1 and DH studying for exams. I'm doing more now, including fetching and sending DS2 for weekend classes alone. Plus, cooking every meal till end of exams. Can't wait for exams to be over.

What have you been doing lately?

Good luck to all for the upcoming exams!!
Just call LG hotline: 65120555

        Please update after demo, ok?

Thanks for the number. I will call and arrange for the demo.

Hi. How was the demo? Hope it wasn't a waste of time for you. 😄

My washer has been replaced. I do find that the LG service is good, they replaced my washer very fast. Unfortunately, I'm still having the same problem with the new washer. Very strange.
Oh, I have not call for demo. Too busy to arrange.

Why do you need to replace the washer?

The washer kept showing 3 hours for a 3/4 full load and then, if switch off and on again, for the same load of laundry using same program ( cotton ) will show 1.5 hours for wash. Inconsistent time for same wash of laundry. After changing motherboard, problem persists. Requested for replacement washer, but same issue. Now waiting for LG to get back to me.

Other than that, the washer is fine. However, it does make it difficult to teach my helper which program to use. So this only adds on to my current "busy"ness.

Do you usually switches off the washer after use?

I will switch off my washer after use but since I am using intensive mode, I do not have this problem as it is pre set to 1hr.

Nope. I don't switch off the main switch at plug. Should I switch off this main switch?

I use the on / off button on washer panel to switch on and off, when I find the time indicated too long... and when i retry same program, washer can give a totally different wash time for same load! Sometimes, I press pause and then switch to another program.

I use the intensive program sometimes, but will program to lower temperature. I wash most clothes at 30 or 40 degrees. However, the intensive mode is for up to 4 kg. On certain days, my household washing is lots more. Certain days, I need to do 2 full load washes on the same day! I only wash laundry about 4 days in a week because it's all dried indoors, I prefer to keep the home clear of hanging laundry on the other days.

Usually, I washed on alternate days with full load. You try to off at the main switch and see if there is any difference.

Thanks SAHM Chew. Thought it was a good idea to switch off the main switch too! Hopefully can save on electricity. Have given up using "cotton" program… Now using "mixed" program. Tried using " intensive" 1 hr program for full load before, but DH complained that he felt itchy when wearing the washed clothes. He has sensitive skin.

Sorry for very very late reply. Haven’t been to ksp. Have more free time now that exams are over for both DS and DH. Have also been rushing to finish a photobook for the past week. Bought a groupon many months ago and realized the deadline was in May!!! Just finished it… Phew!
