Hi, I’m a parent of my sec 2 boy taking express stream in Hougang Sec. He scored 18 points during his psle, although Hougang sec was not his first choice in the selection list but I’m gonna say given the chance to study in Hougang sec is the best choice. First year into HGSS, he needs to get use to more subjects and time spent there, the teachers gave them rooms to grow, space to explore and learn to adapt at their own pace. Through CCA(NPCC), from a boy that needs me to prepare mostly everything in life for him, till now that he’s able to handle most stuffs on his own (academic and teenage life) I really want to thank the teachers teaching and guiding him these 2 years. His teachers also will discuss with them sometimes after school hours if they find that the students need to clarify the topics being taught in class but have doubts. This year it’s his streaming year into sec 3, I believe through his hardwork and teachers patience in teaching and guiding him will definitely let him excel better. Coming next sat 23/Nov/24, it’s Hougang Sec open house, do feel free to drop by visit the school if you needs information about the curriculum and CCA programs they offered.
