Yes that’s exactly what I’m saying . A committee position is needed to secure an interview . From there , it’s up to the kids to impress the school . My friend‘s son received a CO from a top boy school for leadership with just a committee position too .

My son received EL subject prize award in P5 . Was given a EL CO with a top boys’ school .

Whereas my daughter was asked to submit 3 EL compo . From there , they shortlist interviewees . Was granted a EL CO . She won a silver award in the Commonwealth essay competition in P5.
I do not think a single non-leadership committee position is enough to get a leadership DSA CO, this is what I’m been trying to say. I don’t think we are saying the same thing. It doesn’t matter if you got the interview or not.

Perhaps you can clarify if the English/ leadership DSA were for the same school or a different school? It is confusing when you just state a top school too, as our definition might not be the same.

Yes you’re perfectly right ! Wouldn’t say that one example represents the whole population . Just saying that it’s a possibility - as an encouragement to other parents trying …..

So, based on the nice Tableau Dashboard, I arrived at these 2 schools for my boy: SOTA ( Visual Arts and English Drama) and ACS(Barker) - English Drama. I also looked at Fairfield Methodist, Mayflower and Kuo Chuan Presbytarian.

Anyone who has any experience of DSA with these can please advise? Specifically DSA in Arts (Performing/visual).
For Fairfield and Kuo Chuan, how is the balance in Extra curriculars and academics?
Many Thanks !!

Just wondering if anyone out there knows whether the teachers’ comments in the school report book are automatically extracted into the DSA portal along with the child’s grades + school-based achievements?

For my kid's school, Yes, everything been intact.

Best to check (clarify) with the Admin team from your P6 son's primary school, in charge of uploading the Dsa info from Report card into Moe's database server.

Thank u phtthp! That’s good to know. I don’t think I’ll bother them to check, it’s just that the teachers were very kind to write non-standard template detailed comments that showcased my son’s personality very well, it would be good for us if this is duly communicated to the secondary school.

I would think only the p5/6 information will be transmitted? I’m actually not sure and am keen to find out too.

as far as i can understand from the answers i got from this forum, everything from the child's report book will be automatically uploaded into the portal. Additionally we will be able to showcase 10 items pertaining to the talent area, be it competitions etc outside school.
