Are there cases where a student successfully appealed to another school despite accepting a CO? Can we do that? Anyone knows of such experiences? Thanks

          NO

You should have received an SMS/ Email from MOE this morning. ( assuming your child is in P6 2023 and given a CO/ WL.

This was written explicitly in the email:

          Important Notes

          1. To be successfully admitted, your child’s PSLE results must qualify them for a Posting Group (i.e. Posting Group 1 / 2 / 3) offered by the school.

          2. If your child is successful in the DSA-Sec, they will not be allowed to participate in the Secondary 1 (S1) Posting to opt for secondary schools, or to transfer to another school after the release of the PSLE results. Your child is expected to honour their commitment to the allocated DSA school for the entire duration of the programme.

          3. A submission, amendment or withdrawal is considered complete only after the other parent has logged in to confirm and complete the process.

              go PLMGS better,
if your child is a daughter. From PLMGS to Anglo Chinese Junior College (A level), there is affliation, for Sec 4 O level students.

YTSS as in Yew Tee Secondary school? Isn't it a bit far from PLMGS? Unless, of course, if you are staying right between the 2.

I believe it's Yishun Town Secondary School, which is also not that near.

Thanks! Yes, i am referring to Yishun Town Secondary School and PLMGSS. My daughter is offered DSA for both and need to make a decision by this week. If you have more information, please help to share. Thank you.

Hello, May I know if sec schools look at primary 5 SA2 results alone, or cumulatively total score the whole p5 year including SA2 and WAs through the p5?

I always hear primary 5 results are important but wonder if it’s SA2 or whole year overall score.

                        To check on \" Consistency \" -

school Principal(s) will look at your kid's P5 results, the entire whole year round !

Never just look at a tiny, narrow microscopic snapshot time frame of only P5 year end results SA2, to draw conclusion(s) about the pupil (student) concerned.
