It may be possible. But for planning our future, I wouldn't bank on my ability to impress the principal.
Go and ask them at their open house if u are really keen.
I recall when attending the online open house in 2022, the Principal made a brief mention that they can and do make certain exceptions in the Y5-6 (ie the IBDP years) if a student wants to drop their art form (for those 2 years) to take HL Bio. I think there is some flexibility there.
BUT do check with them directly. I was only half paying attention since I was at a noisy shopping mall waiting for my kid’s enrichment class & listening thru earpods while walking around trying to find a less noisy spot![/quote]
I normally try to think......it it could go wrong, it will. -

Thanks.
Yes, do any first degree with good results and try Duke-NUS, that's the longer route as Duke-NUS is only a graduate course. You can also try to get an early admission before completing the degree but read up the details in Duke-NUS site for the pre-requisites.
Education system so chim now -

Read the article carefully…
“Farrah plans to read medicine through the Yale-NUS and Duke-NUS liberal arts and medicine pathway.
Students who take this route will attain a Bachelor of Science Honours or Bachelor of Arts Honours degree at Yale-NUS College, followed by a Doctor of Medicine degree at Duke-NUS Medical School.”
More on https://www.yale-nus.edu.sg/academics/overview/graduate-studies-and-programmes/yale-nus-duke-nus-liberal-arts-and-medicine-pathway/.
Getting into BSc or BA doesn’t need 2 sciences.
Ahhhhhhhhh
Thanks.
I Need to read up more. -

In a normal world, that probably means......we can discuss, but you must do what I tell you / already told you

Yes, we shouldn’t get in there waiting to get an exception. Better to make decisions based on well informed choices.

Can someone please advise, how many medals are given at NUS MO, Raffles MO, Asia Pacific MO (Hwa Chong)…etc ? In a given year…?
If a student gets "honorary mention" but no medals, which schools are good to apply under DSA math?
Thank you. -
SOTA creative writing competition results are out
Some schools have more than 1 student and Raffles has many students shortlisted. The standard of English in such schools may be high.....or they have special focus on English?

Not every school publicizes the fact that this competition even exists. ACSJ does not.

My guess is RGPS GEP dept did so and probably actively encouraged them to join. Either that or there are simply more parents from the school who are aware and kiasu.
