May I know what is the chances to DSA to SST / Cat High (Math) for the following profile :-

        RIPWMC: 2022 - distinction
        APMOPS: 2022 - participation
        RIPWMC: 2023 - participation
        APMOPS: 2023 - Bronze
        Participate in RVMC
        Yearly Edusave Award & scholarships

Not going to apply of the chances is not high. Thanks.
        You can try SST.
        At least,
your kid gets the chance to take the 1st test and if he passes Round 1 test, then will proceed to attend Round 2 test (SST). Whether your son can get into SST or not, a lot will depend on the performance of those 2 tests conducted.

        For Catholic High,
u can still try if that is his dream school but just to let u know that
your kid will be putting up with

many more other stronger P6 competitors (boys) who are armed with very strong achievement(s) in Maths , than what your kid currently has.

I suggest u bring your son to SST Open House and ask your burning qns, get a feel of the place & culture:

            https://sites.google.com/sst.edu.sg/2023-sst-open-house/open-house-programmes

My friend’s son did not have any Olympiad experience or accolades at all. Simply AL1 and Math & Science (other subjects not so stellar), coupled with strong interest in robotics (no awards either). The main selection is via the entrance test. And then interview/group activity project. He got WL which was converted in the end.[/quote]
            Yes,

for those who are offered SST COs but gave them up in the end
            because

these students decided to go to some other DSA school instead,
            then

SST \"given up CO\" vacancies will be released to those, on Wait-lists.

May I check what is the difference between "Leadership" and "Leadership and character" as there is 2 options to choose. It seems to fall under uniform group in the portal, leadership will not have any commitment right?

Also if apply for 2 sports domain and 1 leadership domain to 3 different schools, the 10 boxes seems like to be submitting for sports and leadership together? eg if want to put 10 boxes of sports and 10 boxes for leadership, unable to?

                  thanks all!

The 10 boxes are shared among all the 3 schools u are applying for. So u have to decide how u want to ration the 10 slots among his sports & leadership achievements.

As for whether the DSA leadership commitment is tied to uniform group CCA, cross check with the particular school’s website for DSA FAQ. If cannot find the answer, then call up the school to ask.

10 boxes only for all. So my suggestion is to group some of them together, which was what I did last year. Put the more crucial or impactful ones for your domain on its own and for the smaller activities or awards, you can try to group them and list them into one box. But there’s a limit to the number of characters I think.
Anything that is school related like edusave awards, school awards or competition, the school would submit for your child, so you don’t have to include these.
                      Good luck!
