Yes yes, into thigh high boots and drawing circles on arms in NTUC.
I wonder if a teacher will give high marks to a Sweet Valley High-esque composition. (my sonโs classmate actually penned one over a few days during free time coupled with explosions and flying body parts)
Okay, OT alreadyโฆ -

I find it really not easy to get proper me time. I have students smsing me their homework after 11pm and parents smsing me to checking on their kids progress consistently. This week CA1, I barely have time to breathe, sit down and do my own thing. I just hope things get better next week. Fingers crossed, time to receive results.
Hi, sorry to hear that. you are also on the ball for your work. sometimes things get us down for a while. just plan for a short term reward for yourself so that you can set a target and work towards it.
I learnt that from my wife recently. -

This is a demanding age, but they will also never be this cute again.
you can find pockets of me time during your lunch breaks and after they sleep. Or do things that you enjoy with them over the weekend. Not quite \"me\" time, but still good.
Other relaxing stuff - watch comedies (cable or rent), foot massage (buy machines if no time to go) , keep fish or plants (childproof, but kids will also learn a lot from this activity).
Dh kept crayfishes, borrowed his parents' foot massage machine (thrilling ds1, then 5), went to the gym after work, and we borrowed lots of videos to watch after they slept even though we kept falling asleep at the most exciting parts.
Outsource whatever you can if you find yourself reaching your limits. If you must use paper plates for one week because you just can't face the dishes anymore, use paper plates for one week. If there is a problem area in the house, fix it so you can stop wasting energies over it (eg shower doors instead of curtains, leaking windows etc).
Primary school is a different ballgame. Once the child kinda get into the groove, it is quite relaxing as long as you have taught the child to be independent and don't knock yourself over with too many extra classes (travelling time is very tiring). Accept that kids are kids, it is a learning curve, and don't expect them to get everything right immediately. Including doing homework and passing you the right papers to sign. Their school day is pretty long, so you can squeeze some me time in after sending them to school.
yeah...i agree with most of your points. they are that cute now...so thats y i am concentrating on them now.
oh yes comedies. i was looking for some relief a few weeks ago and stephen chow classic shows nvr fail. I just laughed again in his Fight Back To School 1 although I watched it a few times before.
oh yes the paper plate idea. main concept is to spoil ourselves for a while just to be out of that phase. got it.
u got me thinking abt the fixing issues. spiderwebs everywhere....lizards appearing more cos food for them. gt to clear the spiders. outsourcing is in the works..gt part time helper that comes for 4hrs weekly or biweekly. bt that doesnt helps as washing and folding is the daily chore. we have daily chores, weekly chores, monthly chores. lol. :faint:
the primary school thing i really dun dare to go that far or think that far. K1 learning spelling already teach til vomit blood and lose my voice cos of the constant shouting at her. :stupid:
so easily distracted kiddo.
and the only point i may not agree with you is that after sending her to school, I gt to go to work. But I did contemplate to be penguin daddy.
