      ngl2010, I cut the melon into about 1.5cm thick and dig out the seeds.

        Thank you, Star and MKS. I usually dig out the seeds too until last week I bought sharkfin melon that has just too many seeds that I gave up digging and only removed the seeds after it was cooked. 😓

            star, me same looking for one side that dont have too many seeds but after cut still got lots if seeds..but maybe could be more also la..

            dd complained why always rice for meals.. today mee hoon kueh.

                kids dont eat melon and I ate a few pcs only..think for us would be better to 'extract' the goodness of melon into soup for drinking.

                      Why do you steam the melon first Funz? Is it solely to remove the seeds?

                        We prefer the melon fully in shreds instead of in chunks in the soup. Guess can boil also but was taught to steam first so that has been how I’ve been cooking the melon.
