I don’t know what Revolut does, but the basic debit card opened up a lot of convenience for my girls - booking cinema tickets, buying on BookDepository (now closed, though), etc. Combined with PayNow, it also meant they could easily share costs of meals etc with friends.

I would describe Revolut as an e-wallet. Which also issues physical cards so that your dependents (old or young) can tap and pay wherever accepts paywave (basically almost everywhere except hawkers).

If you have Grab/GrabPay, you can also request a physical card (PayWave). It uses the prepaid GrabPay balance, so if the card is lost, the exposure is limited.

I don’t have GrabPay. I see Q0010 got cashback for Grabpay. Other banks dont participate anymore for quite long time already.

No minimum spend or annual fee. Can't remember if there was a minimum balance for the bank account, but I think there's no requirement if it's a child's account.

You should definitely start a monthly allowance system for your daughters. They will not be able to learn budgeting if they don't practise. If you pay their allowance into their bank accounts, you can set an automatic transfer from your bank account to theirs, so you won't need to remember each month.
Missed this post. Yup will try to have dd start doing her own budgeting and I give her monthly allowance.

There are probably quite a few which can use the SGQR. My kids use PayLah since their account is DBS. But not all stalls accept cashless payments, and some only accept certain ones. I think your daughters should still carry some cash.
