        Thanks ammonite !

The issue is DH is the one who set the rule and this time DD did not do as well for 2 subjects 75-80 range whereas for the other 2 subjects she got A* . So to be fair I think she still deserve her play time but DH think otherwise.

No problem 🙂 I think it is a slippery slope to link it to results because regardless of how well my kids do, I don't want to give them carte blanche for games. And I am genuinely concerned about eyesight and posture. I have spent a lot of money on ophthalmologists. I think my kids understand that though they complain once in a while that I am stricter than other parents in this aspect.

I think your daughter did well regardless and I will praise accordingly. 🙂

I see that Me-Time has become a place for complaints against our kids lolol

Yesterday after a long, emotionally and physically draining day in school, when DD1 came back at 6pm, I asked her if there were any hw. She said no and since MYE was over, I thought my question was perhaps perfunctory. I asked again after dinner (I think I must be so used to it). Still said no. Then while 3/4 into the 小三 show, she shouted \"omg, I forgot I got this hw to do\"....(her bedtime is usually by 10pm). So she ran to the room to try to do. Obviously being physically and mentally drained, she couldn't do the HCL comprehension question on character analysis. Her default was to ask me. Of course, I didn't know how to b/c this was a certain format taught to them to identify certain character traits and to label as such. So she made a big fuss that I was not helping and disgruntledly did it, with sobbings in between writing. At the back of my mind, I could feel myself screaming \"f**k off....served you right for not being on top of things, yet still had the cheek to blame me for not knowing....\" Knowing she had a bad day, I just left her to her own device b/c 本小姐的脾气也好不到哪里去。
i wont know how my dds will behave next time. no way i will allow them to blame me for (most)of the things. i can feel guilty at my end, on my own accord.

              hi ImMeeMee,

i just received the pouch in my letterbox today. it’s very pretty and will be the new home for my ipod.
              thank you so much.

              hi mummies,
when i keep and fold laundry, i will put mine and hubby’s clothes into the cupboard. kids are old enough to put their stack in their cupboard…occasionally i will check to see if it is a junk yard inside. if it is, then i won’t fold their clothes after keeping. as for socks after school, if they leave all over the house, then be prepared to hear me scream. shoes must be put in shoe box.

Waahh, you kids can get away with this kind of sass?

For me, I will not threaten, I will just do. Their socks will either end up on their study table, on their bed or in the dustbin.
My kids wouldn't dare tell me that either. We did the \"everything has its place\" training when they were so young (starting from toddler age) that I don't recall having such issues when they were old enough to speak like that. Sometimes, especially if they come home late, things get left in the living room or near the entrance, but they will clear it by bedtime. If not, I just push their stuff aside or dump it on their beds.

I once did a \"laundry basket\" training stint with my kids when they were kindy age (I got this idea from a parenting book) - I told them half-jokingly \"Since you obviously find it so difficult, you need more practice!\" So I made them pick up the item that had been left in their room, walk to the laundry basket, and put it in. Then I took it back to their room, and made them repeat picking up, walking to the basket, and dropping it in several times. We had a good laugh over it, but they got the message!

i insist shoes must be put in shoe box when they step into the house...kids will tell me they need to wear the next day. then my reply will be 'fine, then i don't have to wash your uniforms and socks since you have to wear them again the next day'. i cannot understand why they throw their socks around after school instead of throwing into the washing machine immediately. the next time i see their socks all over the house, i will put them on their beds or study table.

It's warm everyday. Lazy to even step out of the house to have lunch downstairs. Cooked instant noodles instead.
