I think you should get used to the idea. I think it is very likely that she will be closer to friends in many spheres and on many topics than to her mother. By the time she is in her teens, I think that is rightly so. The mother-child bond is special and very strong, but bonds between peers (and eventually a husband) will be closer. -
Primary school kids no school this Thursday and Friday? I think I must make an effort to treat myself before Thursday when I must be A Good Mother the whole day.
