Thanks Lizawa. My daughter's HMT is Tamil and got Distinction. But there is no Bonus points for HMT-Tamil. Can you pls suggest the 2nd choice of school. Tks in advance.
I think she has a good chance. I feel that the cut off this year should be lower than last year's. But again, most of the time, girls tend to do better in PSLE. But since posting is based on merit, you can always put RGS as first choice. If she has higher mother tongue, you can consider Nanyang also, can add a few more bonus points.ml_lotus:
Hi,
My daughter got 263. whether she can get RGS? any suggestion? -
My girl scored 267 and thinks of putting RGS as her 1st choice. COP for last year was 266. Do you think she's taking the risk? :? Will NYHS stand a better chance for her?(HCL:Merit. +2=269) Hai ya...headache...

I think she has a good high chance to go to RGS. You can put that as first choice if that is her \"dream school\". Then put NYGH as 2nd choice. -

Does your daughter want to do IP ? prefers girls' school or doesn't mind mixed school ?
I can only think of NJC and NUS High School, if she wants to do IP and if she cannot get into RGS. NJC has 150 vacancy for 2009 Sec 1 cohort. So far I believe around 80 has been taken up through DSA. -

Do you know the current year COP for Edusave Entrance Scholarship for IP schools? -

Last year’s was 265 (if my friends did not give the wrong information). RI COP for last year was 263…It is 2 points below the ESIS COP. Overall, this year P6 cohort should have lower COP.

yah should be becos Natasha raised the COP last yr. at least tats wat ppl say. but still, its better if you choose a school if u are 1 or 2 marks above their 2007 COP. that way is safer. gd luck. hope all your kids get to a gd sku.
