Here is another one. My P6 son was given an account from his school after PSLE so they could start practising. There is a free version that can be used as well. No idea which one of these websites is best.
I strongly recommend this too! When my kids were around 10-11 yrs old, I bought a training course called \"Mavis Beacon\" on CD-ROM (yes, it was THAT long ago) and they learned to type pretty well. There is a free course now available online:ngl2010\" post_id=\"2003373\" time=\"1605972876\" user_id=\"40978:
Can she type with 10 fingers yet? If not, she can learn how to type with 10 fingers (just search internet for guides and practices). It is useful because there are a lot of reports to write in IP.

I don't know how the current one is, but it can be a bit boring (there are some games, but essentially, there is a lot of practising), so I only asked them to put in 10 mins each time, 3 times a week. It only took them a few months to reach about 35 wpm.

Hi parents. My DD who completed her PSLE this year is getting restless and bored at home, and school holiday has barely started! She has asked for assessment books to do to kill time.. any recommendations on Sec One assessment books, that can be used for self study and practises? We are likely going for IP program next year (fingers crossed on PSLE result this week).
Or any recommended resources online that can keep her occupied meaningfully?
Thank you -
IP Science class at Future Academy is also good. :lovesite:

I think less in lower secondary. Maybe becks overall, lower sec still manageable. Also, from my understanding, secondary schools encourage students to book consultation hours (outside school hours) with individual teachers if they have any questions. Sometimes these sessions are 1-1 but other times, the teacher might group a few students with similar problems into one small group. My DD finds such consultation hours very useful.bbhippo\" post_id=\"1995762\" time=\"1600648437\" user_id=\"42642:
Can I check if any parents have feedback or recommendations of any tutors/tuition centre for students in IP? As understand, IP in each school may be different in terms of how they cover the syllabus, do parents, therefore, go for 1-1 tuition instead? I am not able to find any parent's sharing on tutors/tuition centres specific for IP. Perhaps I might have missed them. I would very much appreciate if someone can share the link if there is already one. Thanks.
But if you are looking for tuition help in Maths, I highly recommend Future Academy. -

Hmmm...

Am I correct to make the following inferences:
1. Around 700 drop out of the programme per batch - either to O Level, or polytechnic, or out of school, or somewhere else.
2. Around 165 per batch can’t make it pass the basic requirement for local universities (less renown overseas universities should be ok). -
I think the 700 students who are not part of the ‘A’ level count also includes those who take the IB or NUS Diploma. Hence the actual drop-out rate should be much lower?
-
Inside the 700 students who dropped out of IP,
should EXCLUDE those students who never sat for A-level National exam : students Not from the A-level track, like
- ACSI (IB)
- SJI (IB)
- NUS High Diploma, bypass A-level
In the past, half way through the IP programme, there were also some students who exited out of IP Secondary schools mid way, went somewhere else instead, never come back to A-level, nothing to do with A-level track anymore. -
Dont think they mention abt the numbers of drop out…
First, the 4k includes A, IB etc…Then 3300 is those taking A. Unable/not entering autonomous U is 165…if my understanding is correct… -

SOTA & Sports School also do IB assuming they are counted in the initial 4000 Sec 1 students in IP.

They may had not included some that comes in at Year 3 IP as well. -

Drop out rate is approx 6% ... data from 5 yrs ago.

So ~ 240 out of 4000/ IP batch.
