Adam Khoo’s prediction can be really true. Sadly, our Y kids have everything they need or want so they really don’t need to "fight" for. That is why an old Chinese saying "the glory or rich of family do not last for three generation."

we must provide the necessary support (must remember to change the batteries for dd's calculator, chinese dictionary). .

FYI, my nephew would bring two calculators (temp borrows from my dd) as standby.....

Better not change the calculator batteries at the last minute. I remember that there is a certain step \"to reset\" the calculator and if the child forgets the step (maybe nervous?), then calculator won't work! So change the batteries earlier, at least have some time to test it out...

My nephew told me that he has 8 classmates sick last week. Guess may be due to stress.

My ds's school has been assigning at least 3 exam papers each day as homework since last week. Imagine he reaches home ard 4pm after supplementary class and after his afternoon nap + dinner, he can only start doing his h/w from 6pm. 1 exam paper takes 1hr 40mins so it will be almost mid-night by the time he completes all h/w.... 😢

Yes, there are still ongoing supp classes for 3 times a week. The teacher was very relaxed throughout the year. She’s either on mc every now and then or she can take 2 months to mark a compo… :x When I asked my ds what do they do during supp class he says as usual exam papers. I was thinking what’s the point to rush thru so many exam papers if she did not put in effort during normal lessons.

                    Oh....it's common hearing.......
last year, my gal was also loaded with 2-3 exam papers daily, bound to have maths, science or chinese.....
same case for my gal, after afternoon nap and dinner,
she could only start her HW at 8 p.m
she tried to squeeze some time in school doing HW during lessons time..... haha sometimes kena caught and gotten a scolding.... 😉
most nights she could only finish at 12 a.m

Really pity these kids… Do you all think it really helps by rushing thru these exam papers? I do agree that they need practices but the teachers shld take the time to go thru and explain their mistakes so that they’ll get to learn from their mistakes right?

I tried to give my dd challenging questions posted here at KSP. I spent so much time choosing, solving and printing them out for her but she just doesn't have the time to do them 😞 So I told her tt I'll not print anymore questions for her to do. We also agreed tt on days she has supp lessons, she just need to do 2 hrs of work, on Tues when there's no supp lesson, she'll do 4 hrs of work and on Sat, 6 hrs of work for this last lap. I'm trying not to stress her and myself. Honestly, I think her sch prepares them rather adequately.
