Btw,i borrowed wink to learn-chinese for my kids to watch...they were abit bored by it.
My younger, son watched only a while n he moved to play other toys while listening... In the end only watched twice before returning...
Whereas for leapfrog, both kids wanted to watch again n again.
I guess it varies between children... They didn't really like baby signing times n i can read too...
Shows like word world n little einstein interest them more. Maybe got storyline...lol -
Hello Everybody,
I am so amazed to see so many kinds of mind stimulation techniques are there in the market.I am actually exploring something like a educational CD roms for my kid, which he can play on laptop and learn(hopefully).A snap research suggests many names like jumpstart, arthur,A star and reading rabbit or something like that.Do you think, they are helpful and really interactive as they claim.Which one is best.Is it good to buy the whole package? Please advise -
Instead of letting my P1 kids playing games, I rather want them to play some educational games.
Has anyone found any good iPad apps that are useful for P1 kids? -
Hi, recently my children are attracted to ipad and iphone games. I found these games suitable for young children as they get to learn something from the these applications. They are pretty interesting and attractive to my kids.
The first game is TotsWorld,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVXZ0ZJKL_M&feature=player_embedded. Children could learn the objects that they see in their daily lives.
This application is great but the only bad thing about it is that it is only available on ipad.
The second game that my kids also love is Matching Jobs, which allows the kids to learn about different occuptions while having fun playing the game. This cost $0.99 and is available on both ipad and iphone. Its definitley worth the price.
Strongly recommend these iphone and ipad games. And is there any other games that you all recommend since the kids nowadays love to play on ipad/iphone? -
My kids enjoy watching leap frog dvds and they also pick up some literacy and numeracy skills.
Can you please share any fun and educational dvds for young kids. -
My kid loves Dora and the Wonder Pets. She even picked up Spanish…

Hi cherrygal,
As i have never see either videos, can you comment the educational value or emphasis of dora and wonder pets? Eg numeracy, literacy, science, foreign languages (Spanish for Dora?), moral values, history, geography, etc.
Thanks. -
Dora - ABC, numeracy, geography, animals, values like friendship
Wonder Pets - values like sharing, honesty, being humble, being nice to others etc
She likes Elmo and Barney as well. Hi-5 is good as well. -
