Guys, I am extremely disappointed with my daughter's results. She only got 272 marks this year! I heard that a large number of people got 280 and above. I am so sad right now. What can you do with 272? Sigh. I'm not trying to make other people with terrible scores like say, 260 feel sad, but this is really annoying. Especially since the average score in singapore is like what, 275? Sigh.

you are greedy! 272 is already above average! Your daughter can choose alot of schools already! what do you expect? a perfect 300?! Can you score 272?

Due to the blackout by MOE, there will be jokers taking us for a ride with inaccurate scores. Also, just ignore those insensitive posts.
Congrats to students and parents whose scores met or surpassed your expectation.
For others, take heart that years down the road, PSLE scores are but a rite of passage. It won’t change your lives that much if you don’t allow the 3 digits to. -

Uhm 272 is already a good score... And let me tell you something, if everyone gets 300, you can only start panicking. Stay humble and dont brag about it.

Don't worry and congrats 272 is really really good already so don't be disappointed!
The psle score isn't just made up of all the individual scores in the different subjects combined, so it isn't like upon 300 or 400 or whatever. It depends on the cohort average and the standard deviation and whatever.
Plus, the average isn't 275! If you get the average mark for every subject, your score will be 200, so of course the average isn't 275... 275 is really good already!
Anyway, 250 is roughly top 10% in Singapore and 260 is like top 2-3% so it isn't a terrible score or anything (I think 265 and above is top 1%?) so yea 272 is very good and don't be upset!
you can get into any school you want actually (as long as it isn't a boy's school hehe) with a score like 272 so yea congrats and don't worry! Your daughter did extremely well already

what done is done. Don't look back. Life don't stop short at 203. No parents on earth wants to see their children doing badly. There will be plenty of opportunities in life, and maybe excel in his future secondary school. I am sure you have heard of Adam Khoo success story. His is a living example. So never give up. continue the fighting spirit with your son. take this as another test paper, have to move on in life. In the next few days, you may need to strategies what best fit your DS in sec school selection. Make the best out of it. And who knows, your DS may score straight As in his O Level? Cheers! -

As a parent, i feel shame on you, your daughter already scored 272 marks on PSLE, which is consider top 5% of the total cohort. you should be proud of her result. Don't put too much pressure on her. -
