      Village Girl:

My girl is 7 years old. How old is yours?
My girl is 5+, turning 6 next Feb. She is in grade 9 too. I m still thinking to stop her. Is your girl taking up other math enrichment classes?

Nope, no other enrichment. She took up CMA mid last year when heard from others that it is good. Maybe just like what others have advised, i will let her continue since she enjoys it.

                      Hi,

Is there anyone’s situation like mine? my DS has been attending CMA all these while and he’s in Grade 7 for abacus and Grade 6 for mental currently. Actually he has completed the books for Grade 7 abacus but becos his multiplication is still not up to the level the teacher requests, he has to repeat his Grade 7 book.

Really feel like giving up cos he has also just started his MPM in Oct and now quite stucked with the multiplication part. But his CMA teacher says it’s will be a pity since he’s considered quite ok at his age and advises us to continue. But he can’t seem to remember by heart the multiplication tables. Sometimes really want to vomit blood cos he always do his multiplication using counting, which sometimes can be quite fast but can see that he is counting instead of remembering.

                        Hi Seaangel,

How old is your DS? I have not encounter like what your DS did. My DD is in Grade 9 for abacus & 8 for mental, and she is still learning multiplication. I was hoping to switch her to MPM after that.

Which CMA branch did you send your DS?
