I just receive my book ordered from Dang Dang thru spree. The book look extremely old from its cover. Seem like left on the shelf for more than ten years.

      Disappointed.
Yes sometimes I get books like this. It is due to the pollution in China. I had to use Magiclean dry wipes to clean the books first. But the books are cheap, so it is still worth it. For the same price, I can only get second hand books in Singapore.

Most of the time, the books look brand new. Especially those very popular books that are selling fast.

Today I received 2 parcels from dangdang.com, one shipped out on 10 Feb, the other one shipped on 28 Jan, and both arrive on the same day. So it could take more than 2 months for the books to arrive.

I think the \"shipped out\" date means the date that the dangdang staff sent to the post office. It does not mean that the parcel is really out of China on that day. The post office may take a long time to ship out the parcels
In this case, that's mean my order that shipped out on 25 Feb is unlikely to recd this month.

The lead time is really long as such can only order books that are not urgently needed lah.

I am glad that we had made the quick decision to get in the 11 xiao mao ri ji the next day when dd completed the 1st book last November.

Although we paid est. $2.00 extra for each book but on account of she had read them during the holiday then it’s worth the cost.

            Disappointed.

When is the book published? Ordered from dangdang via sprees several times, noticed books that are published prior to 2007/2008 will be rather old. Probably kept in warehouse for a long time. Even the spree organiser advised spreeists not to order such books.

            Sad to hear that.
Wuld you mind share it with us what are the titles you ordered. So we can look out for and or compare it if we ordered?

I guess they may consolidate enough qty before arrange for shipment

If I see a very good book in Popular bookshop, I will also buy it even though it is more expensive. Those books that I bought from dangdang.com are the ones that are not available in local bookshops, or more advanced books meant to be read by my kids when they are in upper primary 😉

                  Yes, 机不可失,时不再来.

If the child really love the book, then is better by all means to get it in a.s.a.p. before their enthusiasm gone..

That's also happen to one of the English Story Series that I get for dd when she was P3 -A Series of Unfortunate Events, total 13 books.
