i usually go to this website http://intmail.183.com.cn/item/trace/itemTraceAction.do to find. Not sure who I can contact in Singpost.

When you find your order in Dangdang, there may be the item tracking number.

btw, I had ever emailed DD customer service in English before. They will usually return with a standard email reply that they are looking into it; and then later send me a reply for my query (usually another scripted email). I have called them also - using calling card not expensive.

fyi, it usually takes about 6-8 weeks (most times more) before it arrives. Not sure when you placed the order and not sure when you are moving house. this will be tricky. Good luck!

        Hi hquek,

Thank you, thank you for assisting!!

I'll try the link you gave me and email them again.

I ordered on 27 Sept. I just want to ensure that the items are on its way. Moving out around mid-Dec.

Just praying hard that I'll receive the books by then :xedfingers:

May I know if it's deliver by Singpost?

          Modernbebe,

dangdang customer service will most likely tell you that there is no way for them to track your parcel or change the address. There was once they gave me a wrong tracking ID and then told me they cannot do anything about it. I have stopped ordering direct from them for many months and also posted warnings in this thread and in my blog. I am using peeka now.

It is best that you try to ask the new owner of your house to call you when the parcel arrive. Another way is to call your credit card bank to dispute the transaction and you will get your money back very quickly, you have up to 60 days from the date of transaction to file the dispute.

Think and hope should be okay by then. Yes, singpost delivers it.

Sharing my experience. I have been getting zero or wrong tracking numbers from DD recently, but the parcels still arrived safely. So even if you can't find, don't worry. Have trust....and most of all, good luck to you!

Tamarind, it’s great to see you here! Okay, I placed my order with DangDang before I chance upon this. I actually started to panic after reading some of the comments here about DangDang!! hahaha… I guess I just have to wait and wait and wait… Luckily I just purchased less than SGD50 of books to try out. So, the most is I lost this $50.

hquek, thanks for your reassurance. Guess when you buy online, this is the risk you need to take. I’m thinking if DangDang is listed in the Nasdaq, they won’t out to cheat me on my pathetic SGD50! hahaha!!

                modernbebe,

wrt cheating, I seriously don’t think DD will cheat you of that money. it’s more if the delivery guys screw up. I’m more worried about china post and singpost. I’ve had one parcel mixed up with another mummy. she called me (our numbers and address is inside) and we made the switch. this was a mistake by post agency.

                  modernbebe,

I agree with hquek. I have not lost any parcels from dangdang before, even the one with the wrong tracking ID arrived. But I feel that their overseas delivery is really messed up that is why I would rather go through peeka to order from them.

dangdang will not offer any help to you. They definitely did send out the parcel, but once it is out of their hands, they cannot do anything for you. There is still a high chance of you getting your parcel.

                    hquek,

Well, I think nothing much DangDang can do if the problem lies on the courier services. So, just pray that everything is in order.

                    Tamarind,
Glad to know that at least you haven’t lost any parcels from DangDang! Will patiently wait for them to appear one fine day. As for Peeka, I’ll need time to figure out how to order from their website if it’s in Chinese. The thought of having to go through another 2-3 hours to translate the website is a major setback for me. But having said that, I’ll still do it for the sake of my kids in mastering the language! hahaha! Just need a bit of time to recover from the "stress" that I went through when ordering via DangDang.

Order placed 3 Sep. Received 18 Oct. Within standard leadtime. Happy!

All this time, DD never update the item tracking number for my order. And China Post keep putting the kokkok DD carton (almost disintegrated) in their china post bag. Wish I could return somehow, such a waste of resources. 😛

peeka is entirely in English 😉 and quite easy to use.
