      Hi Tamarind,

      Have been trying to order the 四五快读series from Dangdang but they have been OOS for the past week. The website also doesn’t allow me to leave an order or email with them such that when stock arrives, we are notified to make payment.
      Have you encountered this problem or is it me who doesn’t know how to use the website? I checked with the customer service who said apparently can leave an order.

          Anyone order from Dangdang before?
          Does KSP forum conduct such spree?
          I read from somewhere in the forum that they only accept Citibank and Amex.
          I tried to order and paid using my M1 citibank card, the transaction failed. :x

            what do you mean by fail? I had ordered before using my Amex card to pay. Message from the website where I submit my details say successful. But then I was diverted back to dangdang to see a final message say fail. The transaction actually went through.

            Note that after your order goes through and payment made, you should closely monitor your email. They may ask you to send your name, first 4 and last 4 numbers to verify the payment.

            It’s very irritating and very frustrating; but I tend to forget once the books arrive - and the books are just so darn cheap.

            IF you have someone in china to take receipt of your goods, choose the ‘pay when goods arrive’ - it’s much much more hassle-free and way faster to complete the transaction.

              So i check with M1 Citibank 1 day later, the person told me that she couldnt see any transactions made.
              So i figured, its really not successful.

              I guess i have to try again using Amex.

              Yes, the books is v affordable!
              That y after i read about it in KSP forum, i attempt to order myself.
              Are you using their shipping service?
              Its 50% of the value of the shipment rite?

                just to avoid dupicate orders and payment.

                i suggest u call your cr card company again in another 1 to 3 days times before ordering again. Cos sometimes, the amount is already billed to your card but it need a few days to be reflected in your bank system.

                is it really cheap, thinking of ordering from there too, but dun have time to chk out which books are suitable… looking for chinese books for pre sch kids, maybe 2 to 5 yrs old type…

                  From my past experience, if you are using citibank card and the transaction sated failed,it means your transaction did not go through. No $ will be deducted.

                  However if you are using Amex credit card please be careful. Like what hquek wrote it actually went through although the message wrote failed.

                  When i was using amex, i did not know and keep submmitting my orders end up have to cancel some of my orders.

                  Dangdang will refund me but it takes abt 1 month and i lose a few dollars on the exchange rate.

                    Arielle08, based on the message shown and becos you are using citibank card, it's definite that the transaction didn't go through.


                    Have you applied for the Visa/MasterCard Securecode? if no, that could be the most likely reason for your transaction failure.

                      hi all, for amex card, I realised we must all look at the "successful" message that appears like for less than 3 seconds on the screen. We can disregard the subsequent "unsucessful" message that appears after it.
