I also prefer Amex card. Agree with dimsum that we should order our books early. Dec is gg to be winter time, worry that if heavy snow like last year i think our books will be gg to delay.

        Wonderm,

Both cards can use. For citibank card, it is much more difficult to go through. Did you apply the secure code?

If you have amex card, it will be much easier.

hquek, you have all the 3 colors already? I ordered blue series as based on the description, I tot that's the 1st series. Still waiting for them to arrive. aiyah, i tot the font size is big.
I bought the blue one first, and decided that it's very good - so just went ahead to get yellow and red. Plus I like having things in sets...having the numbers jump is quite irritating.

I browsed by age - that's how I know different colours for different age groups. it's not very clear in the description.

lizuan76, what is the security code you are referring? I entered everything requested, including the 3 digits which is at the back of the card. Is that the security code?

I don't have AMEX card and don't think I will apply for one just for this purpose. Do you suggest that I should try with the same citibank card again? would I get the same failure message if I use the same card? or it is normal to require a few tries before it is successful?

Thank you very much for your advice!

Wonderm, i am referring to the below

              https://www.citibank.com.sg/SGGCB/APPS/portal/loadPage.do?path=/info/sub_det/sos_activ.htm&tabId=Citibank%20Online%20Promotions

              Did you apply?

Please note once your dangdang order is rejected after you enter the secure code, you must re-create a new order (which will have a new order number).
Do npt keep submitting the same order request.

              Hope it help you.

In my opinion eh…it is best to order on your own. Because I have seen some SMH overseas spree actually earn $ from organising it. The list of purchase are not transparent right down to the organizer themselves. They could buy the books and then factor their own shipment cost to others and not the organizer themselves. Provided the organiser scan the receipt and shared this to others. To this date, so far none has practised this. So better to play safe. Unless you are troubled by the hassles and don’t mind paying for others lah.[/quote]

I’m not too sure i only join spree like just abt 3 times cos if the pick up too far for me i wont join. i only tom pang my friend to order when she organises dang dang spree. I know there are many spree organisers in SMH and also read about some "cheating’ others or the products are fake.

My friend has been organising dang dang spree pretty often and many times. I'm not sure is it ok to share this however if you have problem or interested maybe i can check with her. Interested, Pm me. *I like to highlight i'm not earning anything just to share. And it's between you and her to make whatever order and transaction. Only order when you are comfortable.

I know what you mean! I've been cheated before cos after I bought the item, my cousins were bugging me to get for them and I could not find a spree at that time so I organised one. Turns out, the shipping was so CHEAP compared to what I paid when I joined the spree!

Btw, I have a habit of photocopying/printing the invoice (with the shipping charges too) and write down the breakdown for each person. I will make everyone sign on it to agree to it when deliver the items. Don't want a situation where they claim that they've been cheated by me!

                      Dear all,

I already canceled my Citibank credit cards. Though I have successfully ordered using Citibank before, I encountered many system problems, and the Citibank officers do not have any idea about it. Using DBS Amex card is so much easier, and the exchange rate is quite OK.

I am now in China, and I have ordered quite a few times from dangdang using Cash on Delivery, it is so easy !

laughingcat is right. Those spree organizers in SMH definitely earn money from you, no one works for free in this world. However, the biggest risk is that you must transfer money to their bank account before they even order the books for you. You do not know who they are, or where they live. It is so easy for them to disappear, and this has happened before. Though there are some honest organizers around, but SMH forum does not have a good system to keep track of good and bad organizers.

                      mrswongtuition,
Why don't you organize sprees in this forum ? 😉 I have a feeling that you are trustworthy 😉
