      hquek:
One of the stuff I ordered is a series akin to chinese readers. These are mainly translated from some foreign language books (cos the illustration all very caucasoid (I don't think there is such a word)). My kids enjoy me reading to them from this series becos stories are short and quite action packed. I feel it's good value.

There are 3 colours in all, yellow, blue and red - 20 readers in each series. Somehow the numbers intermingle. Books are quite small in size - so are the fonts (in case anyone doesn't like font size) but the paper quality is pretty good (compared with others I have seen).

Yellow (I think this is for younger readers)

      Blue (mid range I think)

Red (I think this is for older readers - more wordy)

hquek, you have all the 3 colors already? I ordered blue series as based on the description, I tot that's the 1st series. Still waiting for them to arrive. aiyah, i tot the font size is big.

My friend has been organising dang dang spree pretty often and many times. I'm not sure is it ok to share this however if you have problem or interested maybe i can check with her. Interested, Pm me. *I like to highlight i'm not earning anything just to share. And it's between you and her to make whatever order and transaction. Only order when you are comfortable.

In my opinion eh.....it is best to order on your own. Because I have seen some SMH overseas spree actually earn $ from organising it. The list of purchase are not transparent right down to the organizer themselves. They could buy the books and then factor their own shipment cost to others and not the organizer themselves. Provided the organiser scan the receipt and shared this to others. To this date, so far none has practised this. So better to play safe. Unless you are troubled by the hassles and don't mind paying for others lah.

I think AMEX is easier than citibank becos thereโ€™s no need to enter that secure code. I never encountered any problems with AMEX.

Nowadays, credit cards are all free leh. When annual fee is due, you just call to cancel and they will most likely waive off. I had NEVER paid annual fees b4.

Thx dimsum for the information. I will apply for the DBS AMEX then. I will try to place orders in Nov bah. By then, my renovation has finished and that means more space for books! I think my hubby is going to :stupid:

If u are eager to get your books, you should place order end Sep/early Oct as the delivery time is quite long (7-8 weeks).

                        Hi arielle08

From my past experience, if you are using citibank card and the transaction sated failed,it means your transaction did not go through. No $ will be deducted.

However if you are using Amex credit card please be careful. Like what hquek wrote it actually went through although the message wrote failed.

When i was using amex, i did not know and keep submmitting my orders end up have to cancel some of my orders.

Dangdang will refund me but it takes abt 1 month and i lose a few dollars on the exchange rate.
I just tried ordering using citibank card, but saw the same transaction failed message. Should I try again? or only AMEX card can work? Thanks.
