I placed an order on the 10th using DBS mastercard. This is my first time ordering.


I reached the stage where i have key in the security number shown on my sms. After there is a small popup saying something like my order is not successful, for a second.

The thing is that i didn't receive any email from DD and i checked online, there is no deduction on my credit card. The status on DD is still pending for payment.

So what do i do now? Appreciate if anyone can help me. Thanks

hi bijin,

i get that msg all the time (ie there is a problem with my payment). Monitor your card for a while, or call up your bank to check on the last transaction. I find there is a time lag between payment and the amount showing up in my dbs online banking account (under unbilled txn).

After say, a week, if it's still not paid, you can click on My Orders in dangdang and submit the payment again. Don't worry, if it's duplicate payment, dangdang will refund the money back (it's just a matter of time, and exchange rates).

In all, I find ordering from dangdang a love-hate relationship. Love the prices and variety...hate the hoops they make me jump through. Good luck with your order!

No. I use DBS Amex - this is ONLY used for dangdang order (so I can monitor if any hanky panky). But still I will see the 3rd Party confirmation that it is ok for about 5 seconds, and then it goes back to DD website where a message will read that there was a problem with payment.

I'm not sure if it's amex problem, but it takes a super long time for the payment to be reflected in my online account - although I'll see that a sum of money is taken out from my 'available credit'. I don't notice such time lag problems with other credit cards.

I do not have access to the online account of DBS AMEX becos I asked my hubby to apply since I can't apply. I relied on the paper statement and so far there's no hanky panky :evil: DD verified receipt quite promptly so I do not worry too much.

Same here too, becos of DD, I use DBS Amex. The things I do to be able to shop at DD :roll:

The number must be a china's phone number. When you are in china, do you have a local number there?

I keyed in 065 then followed by mobile number, it works…but I dunno if they can call. I assumed they can call right since mobile phone is roaming??

The courier co won’t call if it’s an international number. Can you put in your hotel number? Then once your order is confirmed and accepted, you can call the courier co directly and instruct them.
