I am guessing the new edition has cosmetic changes. It states that it’s in full colour but the ones I have are in colour too. After book 2 there are no illustrations. Maybe the new edition has brighter colours or more illustration, I really don’t know.


If you want a "prettier" version, then go for it. Per book will need to pay a few extra dollars. From what I can read about the new edition, I’m guessing there’s no difference in content. But can’t be 100% sure since I do not have a copy of the new edition to flip through.

Now I see there’s also 四五快读 故事集 全彩图 升级版. It’s to be used after the kid finish the 7 books. I do not think it’s necessary since there are so many storybooks around. But there might be parents who like it.

Just to share my order which was processed on 2 march to leave from Beijing has arrived at my place today. Small order, one set of 15 books, 1 DVD and 1 loose book only. Not bad, 6 weeks wait. I was expecting to wait longer.

Mine is also a small order, only 6 books. But the box is still torn :roll: though the contents are fine. I wonder how come the shipping process is so rough ?

The box was also crushed in my case. They didn't fill up the entire box with goods, so there's empty spaces inside. I suspect there's no TLC when it comes to handling the boxes by the shippers (And they probably have tons of orders to handle). And the way it was taped is also not very tight. Just count our blessings that the books inside are ok.

Just to share, I got mine with 2 books torn inside and the other 4 books bent. Quite fed up. I am scared to order again. Anyone else has this problem but got it solved? Like the next order was much better?

not sure what you mean by lower shipping cost. Are you talking about the bulk order?

Here, we buy for ourselves. Shipping cost is 50% of the retail price of the book (note not DD price). There's a min shipping cost of 50REM, so best to buy enough books to hit 50REM so that it's worth it. For example if you only buy 1 book.

Retail price : 20 REM
DD price : 15 REM
Shipping cost: 10REM (50% of retail price)

But if you only buy that one book, you will pay the min shipping cost which is 50REM, so your total cost will be 65REM

I intend to place an order for around 1500REM. The shipping cost is approx. 1125REM. Total cost is 2625REM. Is it worth buying with such high shipping cost? I thought I saw some where that there is 20% shipping cost when hit a certain amount of order?

Finally, my books are here. :lol:


Quite presently surprise that although i have 28 books,all are in good condition. (I got 3 series, and each series are put in a shrink wrap seperately. Even the box is in good condition, the tape is still intact. There is even bubble wrap in the box. And China Post still gave me a sack to hold the box. Just in case, i think.

But the strange thing is, i check http://intmail.183.com.cn/item/batch/itemBatchQuery.do?action=Enter
and Singpost daily, my status is not updated. even when i receive my parcels, the link is not updated too.

But i receive a call from singpost on 28 Apr to ask me when i will be at home so that they can deliver to me. Strange, right? I did not call n ask them, the status is not updated. yet Singpost call me.

But glad that i have finally receive my books after 9+ weeks.

Now, i know why my status is not updated and I cannot track in Singpost. Because, My RR number is different.

I check my card, and my RR number is totally different from the one that DD gave me.
My tracking number is RRxxxxxxxxxSG.
