      To haorant

To show that I am not lying or whatever you may be intended to mean, here is the evidence or what I am intended to explain.

With comparison between the auto-reply from dangdang and the shipment tracking webby, they are accurate or close to accuracy. Considering the different timezone and system time delay between 2 countries.

      http://i56.tinypic.com/r2m3cz.jpg\">

So pls don't flame me yeah 🦆 . Like any mother here, I am just a working mum. No relation with dangdang or shipping company. So no gain in me sharing. Just want to relieve the burdens of mums who have loads of questions pertaining to delivery. This is first time I have ordered so much at one go without trying out first. At one shot I have placed 8 orders, not forgetting 3 orders are from another mummy who is waiting patiently.

I have placed 1 order from 65daigou which is indeed much faster but actually more expensive as compared to dangdang shipping company. I received my 65daigou order exactly on the 2nd week. Now I am contemplating whether should I use 65daigou for my subsequent orders from dangdang.

Ok, ok, ok. laughingcat- Sorry if I offended you in any way. But if you read my message you might notice I wrote clearly I DIDNT think that you were lying. I am very thankful for you trying to help me. I want to think that your information is correct. But I got that auto message on the 15th of may and until today, the 19th (soon 20th), there is no update whatsoever on intmail or the local post office. Once again Thank you for the information. I know it must have taken a lot of effort take and upload that picture on the comment above mine.

          Hi haorant,

No worry. Like any other mummies here, it is extremely worrying to buy from China if we are using shipping company. The wait is extremely tiring for me. After a call with the China shipping company, the waiting period is that long between 5-8 weeks. If it air shipment, it will be less than 2 weeks.

Errrrmmmm....sorry to burst your bubble, from my previous experience that auto email is not a good indication that the books have reached Singapore.

I think you have mistaken here. I am not just using the auto email as the only form of verification here. But so far for all my 8 parcels that I have ordered, the auto-email did indicated and reflected correctly. So once I received the auto-email from dangdang that the parcel left China port or reached SGP port, I will exercise confirmation by checking the status using both the china and sgp webbie and replied emailed.

I would advised that you exercised due dilligence in your own verification as well. Auto-email from dangdang is only an indication that they are tracking the parcels. So whenever there is a reflection on the ownership of the parcel, there will be an auto-email from dangdang. This is from my experiences with the 8 parcels that I have ordered so far. I strongly believed they are correct or close to accuracy.

I'm only buying for myself, so I'm not so kancheong. I don't depend on the auto-email from DD.

Once in a while I will check the location of the RR via the tracking site and Singpost site. But once it hit the 8wks time limit, I will check it more often. Last year, once 8wks time limit is reached DD will send the auto email that books has reached me but in reality that is not the case, I checked with them and DD replied that it was auto system generated. I'm sharing this to explain my experience with them.

Maybe in your case it was before 8wks? So it's more accurate?

I find shopping at DD to be a constant learning experience because each time there's something new. It's never boring

My RR number was change by Chinapost and Singpost use the same RR number, but it is different from the one reflected at DD. So it seems like when chinapost receive the parcel from DD, the RR number is reflected there, n i can only track it on 10 mar.. after 10 mar, the RR is change, and when i receive it, it is another RR number. but it can be track in http://intmail.183.com.cn/item/trace/itemTraceAction.do;jsessionid=pFycNV6bps1plXC14rZNkJ4TQ6hf8Kp9xpy9CyxD0QtLGkxhnbnJ!1682519882 after i receive the parcel.

So from 10 mar to 19 apr, it is completely not traceable.

I just want to share with you mummies on my experience lately with my first package from Dangdang.

I have been tracking my parcel on almost daily affair from the 5th week the parcel leaves Guangzhou. By the 7th week, I saw that my parcel has reached Singpost. I was so excited! However upon checking witht the Singpost website, it indicated that my parcel has been delivered, but I did not received at all! I called Singpost for every 2 hours and made a lot of big hoo haa and finally got my item delivered rightfully back to me. In my case, it is Singpost that made the blunder.

Now my other 3 parcels supposed to have arrived at SGP port, as reflected in the dangdang's auto email that the parcels have been \"accepeted\". However Singpost website did not have such info and this really made me worry liao. :faint:

You mean SingPost delivered it to another address?

The auto email is just that, auto, it's system generated after 8wks. It is no indication of the location of the order. If you check with DD, they will check with their courier but that will take even longer. I usually just monitor on the SingPost website. But read from a post, the RR number change when it reached Singpost So for my current order will see how it goes

[/quote]ok, I shall see what happen to my order. It's very interesting, everyone's experience is slightly different. Prev, when my oder reached Singpost, it will take 1-2 working days to reach me, but someone waited for a wk. Hmmm...nothing is constant but change.

Thanks all for sharing. For the next newbie who ask about how to buy from DD, will have to give so many scenarios
