Well said. I always love your 天时,地利,人和 quote.Comes to any subject, if the paper is of a right fit for the child, and bingo...
Cannot imagine how kanchong I will be when comes to next week...as if am taking the exam...
Most of all, good health and steadiness for all the p6 candidates next week.
Cheers,
Leanne
Hi Leanne
You're right!
Health and Luck play a very important factor in this battle!
If the questions or topics happen to be 熟口熟脸,then bingo! :rahrah:
I think as of now, the only area can still do more touch on is Math and Science as language can be anything under the sun especially English!
Just my 2 cents thought! -
Funx3:

Think your DD must be now very well prepare and ready to :nunchuk: :rahrah: -

Very Well Prepared? I'm Not so Sure, One Can Never Know ....
But I Leave it to My Gal to Manage her time now.
Think the sch Does Not Want to put too Much Pressure on the Kids prior to the Exam. Just Doing some Revision of words and Phrases they have done in sch.
Nothing New Now, Maybe to boost up their Confidence .... -

Heard that this year will be difficult like 2009? Do u think so?
It's your kid's performance relative to other kids, benchmarking using bell curve.
For easy PSLE paper, A* could be higher than 91 eg 93
For difficult PSLE paper, A* could be lower than 91 eg 85 -
Difficult or easy. PSLE is once in a life time. Our children need to go through it. Just ensure that they do their best. Whatever result comes out, both parents and kids must accept it because they really put in their best effort.
At this moment, encouragement is very important.
For All P6’s kids, give your best shot and never look back. Go for it. All the best. -

Due to public outcry over 2009 Math :stompfeet: eg sweet-chocolate question, exam board has to be more sensitive so 2010 Math was relatively much easier. All four papers for 2010 are in fact considered non-tough and I suspect standard deviation was low and distribution curve is skewed and leptokurtic thus resulting in only one boy scored >280 and bulk of top kids scored 260+ instead of usual 270s. This will present problem for differentiation plus shows below par paper setting ie not leading to normal distribution, so what do you think exam board will do for this year. haha

I think this year Math should be tougher than last year. But how tough and whether the exam board dare to test market and incur public wrath again is anyone's guess. PSLE is after all a national exam - they can't be setting 4 killer papers right? Further it doesn't matter difficult or easy at all cos of T score. More of: if everyone finds it easy but your DD/DS finds it tough then :slapshead: :nailbite:
and if every kid finds it difficult but your DD/DS finds it easy then :boogie: :rahrah: haha
Just my humble 2cents. -

Hi Belle,
Hi Tinkerbelle,Tinkerbelle:
Hi everyone,
How time flies! We are exactly 1 week away from PSLE.
Next week this time, our P6 kids would have sat for their English paper & will be preparing for their maths paper for the next day.
How are all of you & your kids coping?
Life still go on as per normal.
The actual performance very much depend on 天时,地利,人和。
We can only wish that they are in good health and good luck too! :rahrah:
Yes, next week today, should be getting the kids ready for math paper.
We try to keep the routine as structure as possible. No big changes.
Bottom line, I believe the child must maintain good health, happy and ready for the exam.
Cheers,
Leanne[/quote]
Hi Brenda & Leanne,
Good to hear that everything is under control. Yes, life goes on as usual for us too. Last supplemenatry lesson for DD today.
DD & I are not feeling the stress yet ....BUT maybe next week, it will be a different story... :nailbite:
2 of my friends are already having dreams about PSLE.
Totally agree....a healthy mind & body = optimum performance. Of course, not forgeting Brenda's 天时,地利,人和. Hopefully, all factors work in favour of the kids. Jia you! :rahrah:
