Pen88n:
Ya!strange! The vp from scgs told me that moe s directive is to only inform parents the outcome on 27 dec???South African:
Hi it looks like most cases of appeal is already made known. Anyone heard from ri appeal yet? My son appeal for ri and still waiting for results. Was told that appeal cases are overwhelming and they need time. But I suspect those successful are already informed. :xedfingers: :lightrod:
It's not true that most cases of appeal is already made known. I've not heard from a lot of appeals yet - those to Cedar, VS, HCI, DHS, NJ, RVH, CHS, SJI, St Nicks' etc. I supposed need the \"top of food chain\" to start the ball rolling, and the rest will then know the vacancies they have and start their \"recruitment\" as well. -

As I recall from last time, the clothes came back with plenty of mud. We made a mistake of letting him wear the brand new RI PE shirts and shorts...
Oh dear, ds only got 1 pe shirt and 1 pair of PE shorts (primary school) that are still wearable. I didn't want to buy this year cuz it's his last year. So how? Can he wear any black/blue shorts?vlim:
They are told to bring 3 set of pri sch Pe attire. If only got one set how? Can wear outing t shirt and shorts? -
tehsusu:
The diploma may be more recognized in Chinese uni? Heard the HC family quite a few get into prestigious Chinese unis.
Was reading the HCI website, I just realised they offer Hwa Chong Diploma since 2008.
Does anyone knows how recognise is the diploma?? TIA.
And there is PLAP(Political Leadership Attachment Programme) for higher sec and JC students. The students were attached to the MPs and grassroots organisations.
This is to \"allow students to observe first-hand how sensitive political issues are handled by MPs at grassroots and executive levels....\"
Any opinion on this? thks
The PLAP sounds real good! Would be good for exposure and understanding the ground. But juz don't get attached to the wrong people... like this one stamp feet :stompfeet:

What do you mean by accompany your ds/dd to school? Aren't you just going to drop them off at the school? You can't accompany them into the school for the day, unless the school has expressly organized a parent activity like CCA orientation or something.
I've heard of parents who want to hang around the school on the first day of school or wander around the school. Please don't. Your kid is in Sec 1 already. He knows what to do.
