        but she forgot to put the unit 'book' .

          Me too.
          My method was something like that:

          119-6=113
          113x8=904
          904+49=953

          I tried and tested this method with the given patterns before using it as my final answer

              so she says only wrong for p2 q17 (c), she get 827. the rest all correct.

                I am not sure if this can be understood without the pattern, but this is how I worked it out:


                I found Pattern 120 like this:

                (120-2)/2x13+20= 787

                Then,
                to find Pattern 119, just minus 5, which gives 782
