      Hi,

Wondering are you still looking for another recommendation for english enrichment programmes ? Don’t know if it’s help or not, but maybe you can contact Sabrina Tay at Galilee School of Language & Learning, to know more about their programmes. I’ve heard they not just teaching foreign language, but the fine arts also. Will PM you for details, whether you want to know more about them and hope it help…

Have found thread commented about the three centre separately, so which one is the best choice among our Kiasu parents for upper primary level and P6 preparation?

I was told that British Council’s classes not very catered to the school’s syllabus. Just for enrichment. Can anyone comment?

I spoke with them and they mentioned something like they do follow MOE syllabus. Apparently my girl will have to go thru a test to ascertain if she can get into the Creative English P1 level or P1 Reading course.

But would like to find out parents who are sending their kids to British council how they feel about the course and curriculum - and other aspect like teacher etc.

I think RG is quite ok.

As for Growan, I think its a mass production thingy cos the rate is cheap. The turnover rate there also very high. Some kids are already very good when the parents send them in.So, for the average students, I am not sure how great one grade can improve.I dont have good impression of this centre.

Just my one cent of thought.

                      Hi Agnes MM,
My DD is attending British Council, and I find it good. she is in K2, and intend to continue for Pri 1. She just finished her reading test to grade her for the Pri 1 intake, and it seems she is abv the Pri 1 standard.
They have spelling every week. they learning to write in sentences. Not forgetting the correct pronounsation and sound. Also reading every week.
                      Hope it helps

My daugther has been attending BC Tampines for some weeks and it seems to be progressing well. Most likely we will continue with P2 as well.
