    • RE: KTKLN for indo maid?

      oceanx:
To sum up, for the indonesia side, most important is the Passport and KTKLN card.

To apply KTKLN: - http://ktkln.bnp2tki.go.id/ or go to local office : http://ktkln.bnp2tki.go.id/lokasi_ktkln.pdf
I suggest bring 2 copies of each document to quicken the process at KTKLN office.
      1. FDW’s KTP card ( similer to Singapore NRIC)
      2. FDW’s KK card ( Birth Certificate)
      3. FDW’s Passport - 2 photocopies from the Identification page and the last page if the Employers
address is chopped from the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore
      4. 2 passport size photos (white background colour photo)
      5. Pay for 2 years insurance at KTKLN office (approx 290,000 RP)
      6. if officer ask for kopi money... just cry hard =x

I also noticed the requirement for an employment contract.
      7. Employment contract endorsed by Indonesia Embassy in Singapore.
(not sure if only applicable to ex-workers coming back to SG or also to new helpers)
The first 2 documents listed above i.e. KK & KTP card, are these additional documents and not an essential for the processing of the KTKLN card?

My helper mentioned that hers are with her Indonesia agent.

Are the basic documents the following :-

      a) Passport & Work Permit
      b) Employment contract, issued and endorsed by the Embassy

      Hi Clarabella

      Thanks for the suggestion.

Will take a photo of him and make him remember and maybe put words on the picture to remind him of his carelessness and ask him to take note.

It really looks that many parents are having the same problem. Wonder if the careless problem will improve as they grow older?

      Any experience from other parents?

      Hi Dilemma

Yes that is what is exactly that is happening that upset me. Good idea, wonder if Abacus can train them?

Btw what is the carrot method? Can share?

      Hi Jedamum

Thanks for sharing. Will try your method talking to him and see what he says. As you said, he will only listen for the moment and forget after that. He called me just now automatically and asked me which assessment book he can do!

Anyway to make them remember? sigh…

So it was effective when you told him that you were very upset and he remember / registered that on his brain?

      [Moderator's note: Topics merged.]

I am having this problem with my P1 son constantly since he was K2.

He had this bad habit of rushing through his work and thus affected his handwriting. In addition, he had also been careless especially in his maths where he had lost quite a handful of marks due to careless as well as his penmanship.

I had been constantly reminding him, teaching and telling him he should check his work after he had done it and dont scribble through. Also been teaching him the tactic to write down what he had counted. But it doesn't seems to work. REally doesn't know how to help him to minimize this mistake.

Any parents can share your experience or methods how to overcome this problem? Thanks
