What I find disappointing is that with so many chinese teachers from china teaching in MOE schools, enrichment schools, and speech and drama schools, our singaporean children’s chinese accents are still so bad- or rather needs a lot more improvement. How come they cannot speak like their teachers-? #disappointedwithmyownchildren. #wouldloveachinesebeijingaccent
Hope not top OT here.

RE: Comparing Enrichment Programme versus Private Tutor
I also find school generally putting much thoughts in the syllabus and teaching. Private teaching usually made us buy assessment books. I go to schools for all my classes- music, tuition, swimming.

RE: All About ABRSM Grades & Support
Sleepy, it sounds like your daughter has both the gift and the interest. Isn't it a bit of a \"waste\" if her skills detoriate. Why don't you get her a teacher to improve her skills- exams or no exams- get her some performing opportunity- get her to improve technically.... Just seemed a 'waste' to me!
On a practical note....You never know when you this might come in handy.

RE: Bad exprienced with Shaws at Katong
Schools are also running a business. No matter what the reason is, you did leave them with some
inconveniences. Sorry, I have to disagree with you.
They do not have to return you with the cheque, by right. -
