Boxes P and Q contains 356 green apples and 376 red apples. There are 12 more red apples than green apples in box P. How many fewer green apples than red apples are there in box Q?
                  Hi

This is an interesting question. You may work it out with MD, but I don’t think it’s necessary.

Restate the question in another way.

How many fewer green apples than red apples are there in box Q?

You may restate in another way.
How many more red apples than green apples are there in box Q?

                  376 – 356
There are 20 more red apples.

Out of 20 red apples, 12 red apples are in box P.
                  20-12 ------ 8
There are 8 more red apples than green apples in box Q.

Hence there are 8 fewer green apples than red apples are there in box Q?

                  Best wishes

Yes KPS our children both P3 and please don't call me an expert, pai sey  when there are so many true experts here.

Yes you can certainly post all your Math questions here or email me at [email protected]. The other one is not an email...just stating I am answering the question here, sorry to mislead you. 😉
